"Tesis ini berbentuk terjemahan beranotasi yang terdiri dari terjemahan danpertanggungjawaban penerjemah atas pemilihan padanan dari unsur teks sumberyang menimbulkan masalah penerjemahan. Teks sumber penelitian ini adalahkomik berjudul Psychiatric Tales. Peneliti ini menggunakan seluruh isi komik itusebagai korpus penelitian. Metode penerjemahan yang digunakan adalah metodepenerjemahan komunikatif dan semantis. Guna memecahkan masalahpenerjemahan, peneliti ini menerapkan sejumlah prosedur penerjemahan. Dataanotasi berkaitan dengan istilah keperawatan jiwa, metafora, idiom, danonomatope. Penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa penerjemahan lebih seringmenggunakan metode komunikatif meskipun teks sumbernya teks kreatif. Selainitu, penerjemahan telah mempertimbangkan elemen visual yang khas komik danragam bahasa takresmi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerjemahan komik yangmengandungi penyuluhan keperawatan jiwa memerlukan penanganan khususkarena tuntutan teks kreatif sekaligus informatifThis thesis is an annotated translation consisting of a translation and translatorsreasoning for choosing the equivalents of certain elements causing translationproblems. The source text of this study is a comic entitled Psychiatric Tales. Theresearcher used the entire contents of the comics as a research corpus. Translationmethods applied in this study are communicative and semantic methods. In orderto solve translation problems, this researcher applied several translationprocedures. The annotation datas are related to psychiatric nursing terms,metaphors, idioms, and onomatopoeias. This study shows that the translationoften applied communicative method although the source text is a creative text.Moreover, the translation has considered visual element of comic and informallanguage register. In conclusion, the translation of comic that contains psychiatricnursing counseling requires particular attention due to its creative and informativetext nature."

"Tesis ini membahas pengaruh penerapan metode dan prosedur pengalihan warna lokaldalam cerpen “Rumah Hujan“ karya Dewi Ria Utari (2015) ke bahasa Jerman dilihat dariteori skopos. Tesis ini berbentuk kritik terjemahan yang menggunakan model analisis teksNord dan menjadikan skopos sebagai kriteria penilaian terjemahan. Dalam penelitianditemukan bahwa terdapat banyak kata sapaan dan ungkapan Jawa yang dapat menjaditantangan penerjemah dalam mencari padanannya. Dalam upaya mengatasi masalahpenerjemahan itu, penerjemah banyak menghilangkan warna lokal dengan menerapkanprosedur padanan fungsional dan penerjemahan harfiah. Hanya sebagian dari warna lokalyang dipertahankan oleh penerjemah dan diberi penjelasan tambahan untukmenjembatani kesenjangan informasi. Sayangnya, penghilangan warna lokal ituberdampak pada capaian tujuan penerjemahannya, yaitu untuk memperkenalkankebudayaan lokal kepada pembaca TSa. Jadi, meskipun pembaca TSa dapat menikmatiisi cerpen, unsur-unsur kultural tidak tersampaikan secara utuh karena penerjemah tidakmemanfaatkan pendekatan skopos dengan sepenuhnya

This thesis discusses the effect of methods and procedures application in local color

transfer of the short story “Rumah Hujan” by Dewi Ria Utari (2015) to German based on

skopos theory. The form of this research is translation criticism using the Nord text

analysis model and skopos as the criteria for translation assessment. The research

indicates that there are many Javanese greetings and expressions posing a problem in

finding their equivalents. In the efforts to solve the problem, the translator eliminates

many local colors by applying the functional equivalent functional and literal translation.

Only some of the local colors were retained by the translator and given additional

explanations to bridge the information gap. Unfortunately, the removal of the local color

had an impact on the achievement of translation goal, which is to introduce local culture

to TT readers. So, although TT readers can enjoy the short story content, cultural elements

are not conveyed well because the translator does not fully utilize the skopos approach"
