ABSTRACT
Like with other senses, space can be experienced through touching surfaces. Different from the other type of sensing, touching requires the body to be physically close to the space we want to touch. To get close to space, the body uses different types of touch. Touch can be divided to static or tactile touching to get information on one spot of the surface, and active or haptic touching to get data about an area of a surface. Each of them have different kinds of movements to find the quality of a surface. Trace is a type of sign that shows age and use through surface quality. As trace manifests as surface quality, different types of touch can be used to experience it. Reading trace as surface quality can be done by applying the different type of movements of touch on the surface, with some movement reading more than others. p.p1 margin 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px text align justify font 10.0px Times New Roman color 000000 webkit text stroke 000000 span.s1 font kerning none "

"A system consists of input, process, and output. User interface is a place for users to interact in the system where one of the functions is as input facility of the system. One of the input tools is keyboard. With the development of touchscreen, then virtual keyboard is required. A good interface must be able to be used easily especially for novice users. The usability testing is required to know the usability level of the interface. A good usability has characteristics of effective to use (effectiveness), efficient to use (efficiency), safe to use (safety), having good utility (utility), easy to learn (learnability) and easy to remember how to use (memorability). Usability testing is an evaluation approach involving users. With usability testing, it is expected that it can give positive inputs in designing an interface especially virtual keyboard interface mainly with the characteristics of easy to learn (learnability), and easy to remember how to use (memorability) so that the resulted design can have good usability level

"This series goes in search of the biological roots of our senses and to uncover why particular sights, sounds and smells and tastes have such powerful effects on us, how we manage to block out intense pain, and why our sense of balance keeps working under the most extreme of conditions. This episode deals with vision. Why is it that humans are so good at seeing some things, at other times their brains prevent them from seeing what's right in front of their eyes."

"This book provides a clear and authoritative summary of the results and clinical implications of research in spiritual healing, energy medicine and the effects of intentionality. Recent publications in the Archives of Internal Medicine, the Western Journal of Medicine, JAMA and the Annals of Internal Medicine have focused on prayer, distant healing and spiritual healing. Therapeutic touch is taught in many nursing schools and laying-on-of-hands and mental healing are of great interest to the public. But what is the science behind these practices? Is there any research? Is it any good? What are the implications of this research for medicine and science? How should investigation of spiritual healing proceed, if at all? These are the questions this book explores."

Meconium peritonitis is a condition of aseptic peritonitis caused by a small perforation of the intestine that drains meconium into the abdominal cavity. Meconium peritonitis can be treated with exploratory laparotomy. However, post-exploratory laparotomy wounds can also influence the baby in the form of acute pain, impaired skin integrity and the risk of infection. Acute pain experienced by infants can certainly give a different response from adults. In infants, acute pain can be identified by the infant's crying activity. However, in dealing with acute pain in infants, pharmacological measures cannot be used because infants are still very susceptible to side effects from it. Therefore, in this paper. The author tries to analyze the effectiveness of non-pharmacological techniques, namely touch therapy to treat acute pain in infants during their treatment in the hospital. In the case of Mrs. N baby, it was found that touch therapy can be effectively used to treat acute pain after exploratory laparotomy in meconium peritonitis infants."

"This book covers ALL aspects of projected capacitive touch sensors including basic principles, the physics of PCAP, capacitance measurements, touch sensor materials and construction, electrical noise, software drivers, and testing. It is targeted at working engineers who are implementing touch into their products as well as anyone else with an interest in how touch screens work.
- Offers readers the first book on the use of projected capacitive (PCAP) touch technology for touch screens;
- Explains not only how PCAP touch works, but also addresses the implementation details an engineer needs when incorporating PCAP into their product;
- Includes explanations of different cover lens materials, cover lens coatings, software drivers, touch testing, and many other areas of general knowledge that would be useful to a design engineer."
