Abstrak :
Kotak bagasi (carrier box) merupakan salah satu aksesori sepeda motor yang berfungsi sebagai tempat penyimpanan barang bawaan sehingga bermanfaat dalam jasa pengiriman menggunakan sepeda motor. Untuk menambah nilai fungsional dari carrier box, maka dibuat suatu produk yang dapat menyimpan barang dalam suhu dingin atau kondisi refrigerasi seperti minuman atau buah-buahan. Adapun sistem pendinginannya menggunakan prinsip termoelektrik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi temperatur pada kotak pendingin (cool box) berpendingin elemen Peltier menggunakan software komputer sehingga dapat menentukan desain optimum posisi elemen Peltier. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa desain cool box dengan posisi elemen di samping kanan dan kiri lebih baik daripada desain cool box dengan posisi elemen pada satu sisi. ......Carrier box is one of motorcycle accessories which having ability to keep the luggage that very useful in system of delivery using motorcysle. In added of the functional value of carrier box, hence wishing to make a carrier box that keep the product like fruits or beverages in cold temperature or condition of refrigeration. The system used the principal uf thermoelectric. The aim of the research using computer software is to know the temperature distribution in cool box to define the optimum design of the position of Peltier elements. The result showed that the design of cool box using Peltier elements in both of right and left side was better than the design of cooling box using Peltier elements in one side.
