Abstrak :
Pertambahan penduduk disertai semakin minimnya ruang membuat pembangunan ke arah vertikal. Pembangunan ini didukung oleh perkembangan teknologi sehingga bentuk high-rise menjadi kompleks, salah satunya adalah bentuk twist. Bentuk twist ini didukung oleh sistem struktur baik dari gaya eksternal (alam) maupun gaya dari internal (bangunan dan twist). Untuk mengkaji lebih dalam pengaruh twist dan sistem struktur terhadap ruang yaitu dengan menganalisis studi kasus dengan metode deskriptif. Pada Turning Torso penggunaan ruang secara vertikal lebih banyak akibat penggunaan kantilever dan core yang tebal. Berbeda dengan The Grove dan Cayan Tower, ruang yang dihasilkan tidak terhalang oleh struktur. Selain itu, ketiga studi kasus memaksimalkan penataan ruang (free floor plan) dengan menerapkan lantai bebas kolom (free-column space) dan lantai tipikal. ......The growths of population are accompanied by lack of space that makes the construction keep going through the vertical direction. This development was supported by technology that the form of high-rise is getting complex, which is the form of twist. The twisted form has to bear the external force, such as nature, and also the internal force from the twist itself. Thus, this kind of buildings need to be supported with a certain structural system. To examine more deeply the influence of twist and the structural system toward space is by analizing a case study by using descriptive method. At Turning Torso, usage of the vertical space is more due to the usage of cantilever and thick core. In contrast to The Grove and Cayan Tower, the resulting space is not hindered by the structure. In addition, this three case studies maximize the arrangement of space (free floor plan) by applying free-column space and typical floor.
