Abstrak :
Pemaknaan penderitaan sebagai realitas kehidupan adalah momen yang dapat kita temukan dalam pemikiran Buddhisme. Latar belakang pemikiran buddhisme baik secara ontologis, epistemologis dan aksiologis terhadap pemaknaan realitas kehidupan inilah menjadi dasar dalam penulisan skripsi ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dan fenomenologi-hermeneutis dalam menganalisa konsep Dukkha. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan penderitaan sebagai pemaknaan realitas kehidupan, hal tersebut memberikan relevansi terhadap kehidupan manusia. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pemahaman terhadap penderitaan (dukkha) yang tidak hanya dipahami sebagai konsepsi semata melainkan bentuk penghayatan dari pengalaman-pengalaman hidup Siddhatta Gautama. Sang Buddha melihat kondisi kehidupan manusia dan proses kehidupan yang berjalan terus menerus. ......The meaning of Suffering as a reality of life is the moment where we can found in the thought of buddhism. The basic reason of the thought view as well as ontological, epistemological and axiological of the meaning of Buddhism become a basic in this research.This research uses the descriptive analysis and hermeneutic phenomenology method to analyze the concept of dukkha. The purpose of this study is to explain suffering as a meaning of life, which give a relevance to human life. The result of this study is an understanding of suffering that is not only understood as concept merely, although as a form contemplation Siddhatta Gautama. Buddha’s view is human condition and processes of life always continuous.

Skripsi ini berfokus pada kajian suffering dan coping mechanism pada lansia di sebuah panti werdha swasta di daerah Cibubur, yaitu Sasana Tresna Werdha (STW) Karya Bhakti RIA Pembangunan. Melalui wawancara mendalam dan pengamatan terlibat saya berupaya memahami bagaimana suffering dapat terbentuk dan bagaimana upaya yang dilakukan lansia untuk menghadapinya hingga dapat keluar dari situasi tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beberapa bentuk strategi coping mechanism dilakukan oleh lansia guna melepaskan diri dari situasi yang membuat mereka tertekan. Terwujudnya tindakan berupa strategi ini didorong oleh agensi yang dimiliki lansia sebagai aktor. Dijelaskan pula berbagai bentuk tindakan lansia ketika mengalami suffering, strategi coping mechanism yang mereka lakukan sebagai bentuk upaya menanggulanginya, serta bagaimana bentuk-bentuk strategi tersebut dapat mereka wujudkan. ......This paper focuses on the suffering and coping mechanism that are experienced by elderly in a private home care in Cibubur, called Sasana Tresna Werdha (STW) Karya Bhakti RIA Pembangunan. Through in-depth interviews and participant observations, I seek to understand how suffering could be formed and what actions that elderly do to get out of that situation. The study showed that some forms of coping mechanism strategies were carried out by the elderly to escape themselves from situations that made them depressed. The realization of these strategies is driven by the agency owned by the elderly as an actor. This paper also explains various forms of elderly actions when they were in suffering situation, coping mechanism strategies that they embodied as a form of effort to deal with that situation, and how these forms can be actualized.

Anna Akhamtova membuat karya sastra yang berbentuk kumpulan puisi berjudul Requiem. Kumpulan puisi tersebut ditulis atas kesedihan yang ia ketika tragedi penangkapan anaknya yang bernama Lev Gumilyov, serta mewakilkan maasyarakat Uni Soviet yang bernasib sama dengannya pada era kepemerintahan Joseph Stalin. Penelitian ini akan membahas bagaimana Teror Stalinisme digambarkan dalam kumpulan puisi Requiem karya Anna Akhmatova. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Deskriptif Analitis dengan menggunakan teori semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure. Dalam kumpulan puisinya Anna Akhmatova menggambarkan Teror Stalinisme ini dengan menunjukkan dampak dari tindakan Teror Stalinisme yang berupa Pembunuhan, Penyiksaan dan Penangkapan. Dampak dari tindakan Teror Stalinisme ini adalah kesedihan dan penderitaan yang dirasakan oleh Anna Akhmatova dan masyarakat Uni Soviet. ......Anna Akhamtova made a literary work in the form of a collection of poems entitled Requiem. This collection of poems was written for the sadness she felt when the tragedy of the arrest of her son named Lev Gumilyov, and represented the people of the Soviet Union who suffered the same fate as her during the reign of Joseph Stalin. This study will discuss how the Terror of Stalinism is described in the collection of poem Requiem by Anna Akhmatova. This study uses an analytical descriptive method using the semiotic theory of Ferdinand De Saussure. In her collection of poems Anna Akhmatova describes the Terror of Stalinism by showing the impact of the acts of Terror of Stalinism in the form of Murder, Torture and Arrest. The impact of this act of Terror of Stalinism was the sadness and suffering felt by Anna Akhmatova and the people of the Soviet Union.
