Abstrak :
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara outness dan subjective well-being pada laki-laki homoseksual dewasa muda di wilayah JABODETABEK. Penelitian ini diikuti oleh responden yang berjumlah 100 orang yang terdiri dari laki-laki homoseksual dewasa muda yang berdomisili di wilayah Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang dan Bekasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yaitu dengan meminta kesediaan responden untuk malegisi kuesioner outness dan subjective well-being. Variabel dalam penelitian diukur dengan menggunakan alat ukur Outness Inventory yang dikembangkan oleh Mohr & Fassinger (2000) dan The Satisfaction With Life Scale karya Diener et al. (1985). Melalui penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat korelasi positif yang signifikan antara kedua variabel yaitu sebesar r = 0.223, yang artinya semakin tinggi skor outness laki-laki homoseksual dewasa muda maka semakin tinggi pula subjective well-being mereka. ...... This research was conducted to examine the correlation between outness and subjective well-being among homosexual young adult male in JABODETABEK. The number of participants in this study were 100 homosexual young adult male, aged 20-40, who reside in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi. This research was carried out quantitatively using a questionnaire to assess the outness and subjective well-being of the participants. The variables in this research were measured using the Outness Inventory by Mohr & Fassinger (2000) and the Satisfaction With Life Scale by Diener et al. (1985). Analysis of the results proved that there is a significant positive correlation between the two variables with a Pearson?s coefficient of r = 0.540, which means that the higher the outness, the higher the subjective well-being of the homosexual young adult male.

ABSTRAK
Kebahagiaan atau subjective well-being adalah motivasi utama manusia dalam kehidupan. Kepribadian dianggap sebagai faktor yang sangat penting mempengaruhi subjective well-being karena kepribadian menetap pada individu. Five-factor model of personality adalah salah satu pendekatan dalam teori kepribadian yang terdiri dari lima trait yaitu neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, dan conscientiousness. Penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya menjelaskan bahwa extraversion dan neuroticism merupakan trait yang sangat mempengaruhi subjective well-being. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara five-factor model of personality dengan subjective well-being pada abdi dalem Keraton Kasunanan Surakarta dan untuk melihat trait yang paling besar pengaruhnya terhadap subjective well-being. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi berganda, ditemukan bahwa five-factor model of personality memberi kontribusi cukup besar terhadap subjective well-being yaitu 47.3%. Trait yang secara signifikan mempengaruhi subjective well-being abdi dalem Keraton Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat adalah agreeableness, extraversion, dan openness to experience
ABSTRACT
Happiness or subjective well-being is considered the most crucial motivation for individuals in their life. Personality, regarding its stability in individuals, has been identified as essential factor in investigating subjective well-being. Five-factor model of personality is one of the approaches in personality theory comprising neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. Previous studies suggest that extraversion and neuroticism are strong predictors for subjective well-being. This study aims to assess the association between five-factor model of personality and subjective well-being on abdi dalem Keraton Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat, and to identify the most influential trait toward subjective well-being. The result from multiple regression analysis indicated that 47.3% of subjective wellbeing was predicted by five-factor model of personality. Agreeableness, extraversion, and openness to experience appeared to be significantly influential for subjective well-being on abdi dalem Keraton Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat

ABSTRAK Di tengah perubahan berbagai tuntutan sekolah yang semakin tinggi, subjective well-being siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) cenderung mengalami penurunan. Dari gambaran subjective well-being secara global tersebut, diperlukan pengukuran subjective well-being pada konteks yang lebih spesifik untuk melihat lebih akurat mengenai keadaan siswa SMA khususnya pada konteks sekolah. Subjective well-being in school merupakan konstruk yang dapat mengukur kepuasan sekolah, pengalaman emosi positif dan pengalaman emosi negatif di sekolah. Di antara berbagai aspek yang dapat berhubungan dengan subjective well-being in school, achievement goal orientation merupakan salah satu konstruk yang perlu ditelusuri lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat setiap pengaruh tipe achievement goal orientation dengan menggunakan kerangka 2 x 2 yang dikemukakan oleh Elliot & McGregor. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi linear, mastery-approach goal, performace-approach goal dan performance-avoidace goal memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap subjective well-being in school di sampel siswa SMA. Mastery-avoidance menunjukan tidak adanya pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap school well-being in school. Hasil dari penelitian tersebut dapat mendukung hasil penelitian sebelumnya dan juga memberikan gambaran mengenai tipe achievement goal orientation dengan kerangka 2 x 2 yang sebelumnya masih belum banyak ditelusuri
ABSTRACT In the midst of increasing academic pressure that high school students face, their subjective well-being tends to be declining as they go through school years. Furthermore, we have to measure more context-spesific subjective well-being to ensure more thorough and accurate information that better depict their situation. Therefore, we use subjective well-being in school which consists of school satisfaction, positive affect, and negative affect in school. Between several variables that correlates to subjective well-being in school, achievement goal orientation needs to gain more attention. This research is intended to see the effect of each type of goal orientation to subjective well-being in school by using 2 x 2 framework that has been stated by Elliot and McGregor. Based on single regression analysis, mastery-approach goal, performace-approach goal and performance-avoidace goal has significant effect to subjective well-being in school in 11th Grade high school students. However, mastery-avoidance shows no significant effect to subjective well-being in school. Results of this research support earlier research and it gives us broader information about achievement-goal orientation with 2 x2 framework.
