Abstrak :
Tesis ini membahas tentang pengaruh menulis ekspresif terhadap stres ibu yang memiliki ABK. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif quasi experiment. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 31 orang. Analisis hasil penelitian menggunakan analisis paired t-test, independent t-test, korelasi Pearson, ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menyatakan terdapat perbedaan signifikan skor stres pada kelompok intervensi antara sebelum dan setelah intervensi dengan p value 0,001 (alpha 0,05), meski menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan rerata yang signifikan saat dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol dengan p value 0,652. Menulis ekspresif masih dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif manajemen stres karena memberikan efek positif pada responden. Penelitian lanjut dapat dilakukan dengan membandingkan menulis ekspresif dengan manajemen stres lainnya. ...... Focus of this study was about the effect of expressive writing to stress in mothers who has special needs children. This was quasi experiment quantitative study with 31 respondents. The data analysis used paired t-test, independent t-test, Pearson correlation, ANOVA. Result of the study was there is significant differences of stress score before and after intervention in intervention group with p value 0,001 (alpha 0,05), even there were no significant differences of stress score when its compare with control group with p value 0,652. Expressive writing still can become alternative of stress management because this intervention has positive effects on respondents. The next study can be conducted to compare expressive writing with another stress management method.
