Edelweiss (Anapahlis spp.) is a species that is distributed in tropical forests such as Java and Sumatra. These plants can thrive in areas dominated by forests such as the Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park. The aim of this research is to inventory the availability of Edelweiss (Anapahlis spp.) habitat by spatially modeling the research object and analyzing the variables used from Sentinel-2A MSI, Sentinel-3 and GEO Satellite imagery such as elevation, slope, use and cover. land, soil type, soil pH, rainfall, air temperature, NDVI and NDMI. Model formation using GIS and Maximum Entrophy. Based on findings in the field, there are 937 individuals of this species. Jackknife of training gain shows the contribution to each variable, namely soil surface moisture level (48.6%), soil type (19%), slope (18%), elevation (7.7%), rainfall (3.3% ), air temperature (2.1%) and greenness level (1.3%). Apart from that, this spatial model produces an AUC-ROC value of 0.976, which indicates that the modeling results are in the excellent classification category. The results of this modeling produce high suitability of ±11.92 ha, medium suitability of ±8.13 ha, low suitability of ±16.25 ha, unsuitability for this species is ±1,659.54 ha in the Sub Alpine Zone of Gunung National Park Big Pangrango."

"Mangrove molluscs data collected from some mangrove forest in Indonesia (Sumatra, Kalimantan, Java, Mollucas, and Papua) are used in order to understand the mangrove molluscs distribution and pattern of species abundance. The result of the present study strongly suggest three models (or combination of them) of distribution (1) molluscs (especially bivalve ) only recruit into certain microhabitat, in which they reach larger densities; (2) certain species of mollusc may recruit widely, but suffer increase mortality in certain microhabitats; and (3) molluscs (especially for mobile animals, such as many gastropods) may actively move among macrohabitats, increasing local densities in some of those. The correlation between features of habitat and abundance of molluscs which can be described as preference are discussed "
