"Judul penelitian ini adalah 'Peran Perpustakaan Khusus dalam Memenuhi Kebutuhan Informasi Eksekutif: Studi Kasus di Perpustakaan Astra'. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kebutuhan informasi eksekutif dan mengidentifikasi jasa/layanan yang dimiliki perpustakaan Astra sehingga dapat diketahui apakah perpustakaan Astra telah dapat memenuhi kebutuhan informasi pengguna eksekutif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran perpustakaan Astra belum dapat membantu memenuhi kebutuhan informasi eksekutif. Jasa-jasa yang dimiliki perpustakaan Astra belum terlalu menjangkau semua pengguna eksekutif dan perpustakaa.

The title of this research is 'The Role of Special Library to Fulfill The Needs of The Executive Information: A Case Study in Astra Library'. The purpose of this study is to comprehend the needs of executives and to identify services of Astra library until it can be known if the library has fulfilled the needs of executive information. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The result of this research shows that the library hasn't fulfilled yet the needs of the executive information. The services of Astra library has not covered yet all the executive users and the library has to increase the utilization of library services for executive users."

"ABSTRACTPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi narapidana terhadap perpustakaan Rumah Tahanan PondokBambu Jakarta Timur yang ditinjau dari 4 aspek, yaitu layanan, koleksi, petugas, serta sarana dan prasaranaperpustakaan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan datadengan kuesioner sebagai sumber utama, dan dilengkapi dengan pertanyaan terbuka, serta observasi. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi narapidana terhadap perpustakaan Rumah Tahanan Pondok Bambu yangditinjau dari aspek layanan perpustakaan mendapatkan nilai (3,09), aspek koleksi mendapatkan nilai (2,64), aspekpetugas mendapatkan nilai (3,32), serta aspek sarana dan prasarana mendapatkan nilai (2,83). Sehingga nilai rataratapersepsi narapidana terhadap perpustakaan yang dinilai dari 4 aspek tersebut bernilai (2,97) dari nilai maksimal4,00. Nilai 2,97 berada pada interval 2,51 ? 3, 25 yang menunjukkan penilaian baik.

ABSTRACTThis research aimed to discover the prisoners toward service library of Rumah Tahanan Pondok Bambu, East Jakartathat reviewed from four aspects, those are about services, collections, human resources, and facilities andinfrastructures. This research is a quantitative one using a descriptive approach. The data collecting techniques arequestioners as a main source, open questions, and observation as additional sources. The results of this researchshow that the prisoners perceptions toward library that previewed from services aspect obtain score (3,09),collections aspect obtain score (2,64), human resources aspect obtain score (3,32), and facilities and infrastructuresobtain score (2,83). So that the average score the prisoners perceptions toward library services that reviewed fromthose four aspects obtain score (2,97) from the maximum score 4,00. Score 2,97 is on interval 2,51 ? 3,75 that showsgood appraisal."
