Modulasi Discrete Mu//iloue (DMT) merupakan Salah satu teknik modulasi mu/licarrier yang dipakai sebagai standar leknik modulasi dalam aplikasi Asymmerric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL). DMT membagi lmndwidfh Erekuensi ke dalam sejumlah subkanal-subkanal yang saling bebas (f!l£fL§!)E!Il`/Gill) sehingga ridak terjadi infemjwubol in!erj'erence_ Perbedaan DMT dengan teknik pembagian fre]-:ucnsi konvensional adalah adanya mekanisme pembebanan bil pada subkanal- subkanalnya_ Hal ini ditujukan untuk mernaksimalkan performansi, yang dapat bempa pemaksimalan bit rate dengan batasan energi tetap yang disebut ran: adap/ive dan peminimalan energi dengan batasan bit rate letap yang disebut margin adaptive.

Pada Skripsi ini disimulasikan dua macam metode pembebanan bit yaitu pembebanan bit dengan algoritma walerjfl/ing dan algodtma distribusi Q11/of umuk menghitung kapasitas transmisi DMT dan kernudian dibuat analisa perbandingannya. ‘

Dari hasll simulasi dan analisanya dapat dilihat bahwa algoxitma waiezjfilling member-ikan solusi ideal permasalahan pembebanan bit, sementara distzibusi an/ojj' tidak seoptimum ware;/illing tetapi oocok untuk distribusi energi yang rata dengan kompensasi kemudahan implementasinya. Selain itu juga dapat dilihat bahwa semakin banyak jumlah carrier akan semakin mendekati kapasitas ideal.

ABSTRAK ABSTRACT
The process of signal transmission from transmitter to receiver in a telecommunication system has some disturbance such as noise and multipath fading caused by reflection, scattering, or difraction. High data rate in the fading channel causes the channel coherent bandwidth becomes narrower compared to the signal bandwidth so that the channel has frequency selective fading. To overcome this problem, the multi carrier modulation technique is used with the aim to have a flat signal fading on each subcarrier. The well-known multi-carrier technique is Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM). However, one of the drawbacks of this technique is the Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) is high. PAPR is ratio between the peak power and the average power of the signal. High PAPR values causes degradation in system?s performance. This thesis designs and analyses PAPR reduction using wavelet transform and clipping techniques in order to obtain better PAPR reduction to improve the performance of OFDM system. The results of design and analysis show a significant reduction in PAPR value, especially when wavelet rbio3.7 and Deep Clipping techniques are used.

Kelancaran komunikasi melalui telepon selular merupakan kewajiban yang harus dipenuhi oleh operator komunikasi di Kota Bukittinggi yang merupakan pusat tujuan wisata dan kota terbesar kedua di Propinsi Sumatera Barat. Tersusunnya model spasial kualitas penerimaan layanan sinyal telekomunikasi (PLST) merupakan tujuan akhir dari penelitian ini melalui pengukuran kuat sinyal di 69 lokasi yang dilanjutkan dengan analisis keruangan secara kuantitatif antara kuat sinyal dengan jarak dari BTS, ketinggian tempat, ketingian lokasi BTS dan arah hadapan lereng, dijadikan landasan untuk menyusun model spasial PLST di Kota Bukittinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pola spasial PLST operator merah mempunyai kualitas yang sangat baik hampir diseluruh daerah penelitian, sedangkan sinyal layanan operator hitam cenderung mengelompok dibagian selatan, makin jauh dari lokasi BTS operator merah atau operator hitam kualitas PLST semakin buruk. Lereng yang menghadap BTS operator merah dan operator hitam menunjukkan kualitas PLST yang lebih baik, makin tinggi lokasi BTS, semakin buruk kualitas PLST operator hitam. Model spasial kualitas PLST di Kota Bukittinggi terlihat bahwa daerah yang dekat BTS dengan wilayah yang datar atau dengan lereng yang menghadap BTS.

Smooth communication through mobile phones is an obligation that must be met by communication operators in the Bukittinggi City is the center of a tourist destination and second largest city in West Sumatra Province. The formulated models of Spatial Signal Reception Quality Telecommunications Services (SSRQTS) is the ultimate goal of this research through a strong measurement signal in 69 locations, followed by a quantitative spatial analysis of signal strength with distance from the BTS, altitude, location of base stations and the direction of the level before the slope, provides a basis to develop spatial models of SSRQTS in the Bukittinggi City. The results show the spatial patterns of SSRQTS of red operators have a very good quality in nearly all the research areas, while the signal carrier services tend to cluster in the southern black, farther from the BTS site operator or service quality black or red SSRQTS worse. Slopes facing the BTS service shows the red and black operators SSRQTS better quality, the higher the location of the BTS, the worse the quality of the service SSRQTS black. Model of SSRQTS in the Bukittinggi City is seen that the area near the BTS with the area of a flat or a slope overlooking the BTS.
