Abstrak :
Skripsi ini membahas perbedaan pemikiran dan tindakan tokoh utama serta penggunaan latar dalam cerpen Keluarga Pembuat Mangkuk Kayu. Konflik di dalam cerpen dibangun atas perbedaan kedua tokoh utama, yakni Huang Tua dan Huang Muda. Huang Tua digambarkan sebagai tokoh yang berkeyakinan pada leluhur sedangkan Huang Muda digambarkan sebagai tokoh yang hidup di masa yang lebih modern. Perbedaan pandangan tokoh ini mengambil latar setelah Reformasi Keterbukaan, yakni tahun 1980-an di Provinsi Shaanxi.

The thesis discusses the disparity of main character?s thoughts and action as well as background which using in this Keluarga Pembuat Mangkuk Kayu short story. Disparity of main character, Old Huang and Young Huang, actually build the main story as well. Old Huang is one of people who are convinced with ancestors, whereas Young Huang is a person who live in further era. This story takes place in Shaanxi Province, China on 1980s, when the China?s Economic Reforms have been started.

Abstrak :
Cerpen Shigu (事故) atau Kecelakaan adalah cerpen yang ditulis oleh Murong Xuecun pada tahun 2012. Isi dari cerpen ini menceritakan peristiwa kecelakaan yang terjadi antara Pengacara dan Petani Tua di jalan, dan juga hadirnya seorang polisi untuk penyelesaian masalah. Beberapa Peneliti pernah melakukan kajian atas cerpen ini, fokus pembahasan mereka terletak pada salah satu tokoh dalam cerpen saja dan juga latar peristiwa yang dianggap mirip dengan kasus yang pernah terjadi di Cina pada tahun 2010. Cerpen ini meski singkat, menghadirkan alur cerita dari setiap tokoh yang terlibat peristiwa kecelakaan tersebut. Gambaran tokoh dalam berlalu lintas dan sikapnya, berikut kehadiran polisi dalam menangani kejadian disajikan cukup detil oleh pengarangnya. Poin-poin ini justru belum menjadi perhatian dari penelitian terdahulu. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan instrinsik didapat kesimpulan bahwa semua tokoh yang hadir dalam peristiwa kecelakaan tersebut masing-masing memiliki kesalahan, pengarang sebagai orang yang cukup paham pada masalah hukum, nampaknya menuliskan cerpen ini sebagai bentuk kepeduliannya terhadap masyarakat dan tindak berlalu lintas. ......The short story Shigu (事故) or The Accident is a short story written by Murong Xuecun in 2012. The contents of this short story tell about an accident that happened between Lawyer and Old Farmer on the road, and also the presence of a policeman to solve the problem. Several researchers have conducted studies on this short story, the focus of their discussion lies on one of the characters in the short story and also the background of events that are considered similar to the case that occurred in China in 2010. This short story, although short, presents the storyline of each character who involved in the accident. The description of the character in traffic and their attitude, along with the presence of the police in handling the incident, is presented in sufficient detail by the author. These points have not been the concern of previous studies. By using the intrinsic approach, it can be concluded that all the characters present at the accident each had mistakes, the author as a person who is quite knowledgeable about legal issues, seems to write this short story as a form of concern for the community and traffic acts.

Cerpen Hati Seorang Budak (奴隶的心 Nuli de Xin) adalah karya yang ditulis oleh Ba Jin pada tahun 1931. Hati Seorang Budak mengambil perbudakan sebagai latar sosial cerpen. Cerpen ini menceritakan pertemanan antara Peng dan Zheng yang berbeda latar belakang keluarga. Peng adalah anak dari keluarga budak, sedangkan Zheng adalah anak dari keluarga pemilik budak. Latar belakang keluarga dan kondisi hidup yang bertolak belakang mempengaruhi karakter, sikap, cara hidup dan pandangan mereka terhadap perbudakan. Hal-hal tersebut hadir melalui dialog-dialog kedua tokoh, hampir di seluruh teks, yang dideskripsikan oleh Zheng sebagai narator cerita. Bagaimana pandangan kedua tokoh terhadap perbudakan, dan bagaimana sikap mereka dalam menghadapi perbudakan tersebut akan menjadi materi yang akan diulas dalam artikel ini. Melalui analisis tokoh dan penokohan Peng dan Zheng, dan mengupas pandangan masing-masing tokoh tentang lawan bicaranya, akan terlihat bahwa Peng sangat membenci kaum pemilik budak dan berambisi menjadi revolusioner untuk menghilangkan perbudakan, sedangkan Zheng menganggap menjadi pemilik budak adalah hal membanggakan. ...... The Heart of A Slave short story is the work of Ba Jin in 1931. The Heart of a Slave takes slavery as a storys social background. This story tells about a friendship between Peng and Zheng with different family backgrounds. Peng is a child of a slave family, while Zheng is a child of a family of slave owners.The difference of backgrounds and social conditions of Peng and Zheng affect their characters, attitude, the way of living, and views towards slavery. These things are present through the dialogues of the two characters, almost throughout the text,described by Zheng as the narrator of the story. How the two characters see slavery, and how they attitude facing slavery will be the focus of this article. Analyze the characterization of Peng and Zheng, and explore the views of each character about his interlocutor, will explain that Peng hates slave owners and has ambition to be a revolutionary to eliminate slavery, while Zheng assume being a slave owner is a proud thing.

Skripsi ini menganalisis kekuatan unsur instrinsik alur dan latar yang ada dalam cerpen 'Shorblac' karya Zhang Xianliang. Dalam cerpen 'Shorblac' unsur alur dan latar cerita yang disajikan oleh penulis cerpen, nampak sangat kuat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan kekuatan alur dan latar yang disajikan dalam cerpen 'Shorblac'. Pendekatan objektif dipilih dalam penelitian ini karena pendekatan objektif memusatkan perhatian pada analisis unsur-unsur instrinsik dalam karya sastra. Analisis terhadap penyajian alur dalam cerpen serta teori mengenai simbol dalam karya sastra menjadi landasan bagi penulis untuk memaparkan kekuatan latar dan alur dalam cerpen 'Shorblac'. Kesimpulan yang didapat penulis dari penelitian ini ialah penyajian unsur instrinsik alur dan latar yang kuat dalam cerpen 'Shorblac' dibuat demi menyampaikan nilai moral secara lebih mendalam bagi para pembaca. ...... This thesis analyzes the strength of the elements of plot and setting that is in the short story ldquo Shorblac rdquo by Zhang Xianliang . In the ldquo Shorblac rdquo short story element of the plot and setting of the story presented by the author of the short story, appears to be very strong. The purpose of this research is to expose the strength of the plot and the setting in the ldquo Shorblac rdquo short story. Objective approach chosen in this study because the objective approach focuses on analysis on intrinsic elements in literary work. An analysis of the representation of the plot in the short story as well as a theory of symbols in literary works become the foundation for the author to expose the power of the plot and the setting in ldquo Shorblac rdquo short story. The conclusions that the author get in this research is the strong presentation of the plot and the setting in ldquo Shorblac rdquo short story was made for the sake of conveying the moral values in more depth for readers.

Cerpen Duanhun Qiang adalah cerpen yang ditulis oleh Lao She pada tahun 1935. Judul cerpen menyiratkan kondisi Cina saat menghadapi masuknya bangsa Barat yang berkaitan dengan tokoh utama Sha Zilong. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas cerpen ini secara lengkap melalui analisis tokoh dan penokohan, alur, serta latar termasuk representasi kondisi Cina pada masa itu melalui gambaran ketidakberdayaan tradisi Cina dalam menghadapi perubahan zaman dari tradisional menuju modern untuk menemukan makna terpenting dalam cerpen ini. Melalui pendekatan intrinsik tersebut, makna dan pesan yang disampaikan secara tersirat oleh pengarang dapat terungkap. ......Duanhun Qiang short story is a story written by Lao She in 1935. Its title implies China's conditions in facing the influx of Western, which is associated with the main character Sha Zilong. Therefore, this research is aim to investigate this short story throughly by analyzing the character, plot, and background, includes the representation of conditions in China at that time through an illustration of Chinese traditions helplessness in the face of changing times, to discover the most important meaning of the story itself. Through intrinsic approach, the meaning as well as message that implicitly delivered by the author can be revealed.
