"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini mencermati pengaruh kuasa terhadap kemurahan hati pemilik sumber daya ditinjau dari sudut pandang pemberi dan penerima Metode yang digunakan merupakan metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian 2 kuasa tidak berkuasa sama sekali 1 vs sedikit berkuasa 0 9 x2 peran penerima vs pembagi within subject Partisipan diminta memainkan permainan negosiasi dengan berperan sebagai pembagi dan penerima pada waktu yang berbeda Data yang diperoleh dari 71 mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia menunjukkan ketika menjadi penerima individu cenderung memilih sedikit berkuasa dibanding tidak berkuasa sama sekali serta berharap mendapatkan sumber daya sedikit lebih banyak saat berada dalam situasi sedikit berkuasa t 70 1 40 p 0 05 Sementara ketika menjadi pembagi individu memberikan lebih banyak sumber daya pada individu yang tidak berkuasa sama sekali dibanding sedikit berkuasa t 69 2 13 p 0 05 r 0 24 Analisis pada pengaruh kuasa terhadap kemurahan hati pemilik sumber daya dimediasi oleh persepsi pembagi apakah memandang pasangan mainnya sebagai lawan atau mitra yang disebut juga opponent construal Variabel tanggung jawab sosial dapat berhubungan dengan kuasa dan kemurahan hati tergantung konteks permainan Rasa bersalah variabel lainnya dari penelitian ini ditemukan tidak berhubungan dengan kuasa maupun kemurahan hati

ABSTRACTThis research examined the influence of power on individual rsquo s generosity as looked from recipient and allocator point of view This research used experimental method with design 2 power powerless 1 vs less power 0 9 x 2 roles allocator vs recipient within subject Participants were asked to play games a negotiation game where they had different roles as recipient and allocator in different rounds Result from 71 participants shows that individual tend to chose less power situation when they played as recipient while expect for a little bigger amount of resources when they were in said less power situation t 70 1 40 p 0 05 On the other hand when participants played as allocators they tend to give more resources to powerless recipients t 69 2 13 p 0 05 r 0 24 Influence of power to the generosity of resources rsquo s holder was influenced by allocator rsquo s perception on the other player whether as an opponent or as a partner which called as opponent construal As a variable in this research social responsibility can relate with either power or generosity based on the game contexts Guilt as another variable in this research found related to neither power nor generosity "

"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai konsep komitmen sebagai kritik terhadap konsep simpati dalam melihat motif ekonomi. Teori ekonomi menempatkan self-interest sebagai satu-satunya motif atas tindakan yang dilakukan. Konsep simpati kemudian mengembangkan asumsi ini dengan memasukkan kesejahteraan orang lain sebagai motif. Namun, simpati masih jatuh pada asumsi egoism karena kesejahteraan orang lain hanya implikasi dari tindakan yang dilakukan demi pemaksimalam self-interest. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain argumentatif terhadap keterbatasan konsep yang dipakai untuk menganalisa motif ekonomi. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa konsep komitmen lebih relevan dari pada konsep simpati untuk menjelaskan bahwa ada tindakan yang dilakukan terlepas dari pemaksimalan self-interest.

The focus of this study is examines the concept of commitment as a critic of the concept of sympathy as an economic motive. Economic theory places self-interest as the only motive in any economic action. The concept of sympathy develops this assumption by adding the motive to care for other persons welfare. However, because the motive to care for other peoples welfare is actually only an implication of actions taken to maximize the gains dictated by self-interest, concept of sympathy still falls under the assumption of egoism. This research, in which is of a qualitative manner, argues against the limitations of the concept used in the analysis of economic motives. It concludes that the concept of commitment is more relevant than the concept of sympathy in explaining the actions of which are done outside the motivations of self-interest."

"ABSTRAKDemokrasi dituntut dengan adanya masyarakat yang aktif dalam berpartisipasi politik. Namun partisipasi politik sendiri diukur dengan pengetahuan politik. Sudah sejauh mana pengetahuan politik pemilih pemula di Kota Depok. Studi ini ingin mencari tahu faktor apa saja yang membentuk pengetahuan politik di masyarakat Kota Depok.Penelitian ini menggunakan enam konsep yang dikembangkan oleh Penny S Visser. Konsep self-interest, social identification, value-relevance, media use, attitude-importance dan attitude-relevant knowledge. Dengan menggunakan metode path analysis dalam pengujiannya, penelitian ini menghasilkan modifiikasi model yang telah dikembangkan.Setelah menghitung koefisien model fit, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa variabel self-interest dibuang dari model dikarenakan tidak signifikan. Jadi dapat ditetapkan bahwa pengetahuan pemilih pemula Kota Depok dipengaruhi oleh empat faktor utama.

ABSTRACTDemocracy is demanded by a society that is active in participating politics. Yet political participation itself is measured by political knowledge. The extent of the political knowledge of newbie voters in the city of Depok. This study wants to find out what factors make up the political knowledge in the people of Depok City.This study uses six concepts developed by Penny S Visser. The concept of self-interest, social identification, value-relevance, media use, attitude-importance and attitude-relevant knowledge. By using path analysis method in testing, this research resulted modifiikasi model that has been developed.After calculating the fit model coefficients, this study found that the self-interest variable was removed from the model because it was not significant. So it can be determined that the knowledge of beginner voters in Depok City is influenced by four main factors."
