Abstrak :
Aspek safety dewasa ini menjadi issue penting, karena dampak langsung yang dapat terjadi terhadap personal, properti dan lingkungan. Oleh karena itu seluruh produk konsumen, produk industri dan komersial harus dibuat dengan jaminan keamanan dalam pemakaiannya. Pada tahap perancangan dan pengembangan produk harus dibuat dalam arah bagaimana menghasilkan produk yang aman serta dengan babas biaya pertanggungan produk yang harus dikeluarkan dengan menjamin seminimal mungkin terjadinya bahaya saat beroperasi dan selama perawatan dilakukan. Dengan mengambil mesin bubut presisi universal (MBPU) sebagai kasus, analisis bahaya pendahuluan telah dilakukan terhadap produk yang terpakai. Mengacu pada standard dan pertimbangan keselamatan, atau provisi dan regulasi pemakaian peralatan kerja, disusun daftar pertanyaan yang diajukan untuk diisi oleh beberapa kelompok pelanggan. Selain opsi tentang aspek safety, aspek yang lain, seperti; keandalan, efisiensi, kualitas, pelanggan dengan babas dapat menyampaikan keinginan yang diharapkan. Rekapitulasi daftar pertanyaan kemudian diisikan pada diagram QFD, dalam 4 fase. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah substitusi kendali mutu. Kemudian dengan melalui matrik penilaian konsep, dan penjabaran desain subsistem MBPU, beberapa komponen telah ditetapkan karakteristik dan parameter prosesnya, serta dibuat instruksi operasi untuk pengendalian proses dari pembuatan komponen. Oleh karena aspek safety serta aspek panting lainnya pada proses pengembangan MBPU dengan pendekatan QFD, diberikan oleh kelompok pelanggan dengan derajat kepentingan yang berbeda, maka perancangan bentuk arsitektur produk MBPU dirancang dalam bentuk modular, sehingga seluruh keinginan dan kebutuhan kelompok pelanggan dengan mudah dapat dipenuhi oleh fabrikan mesin perkakas. Kontribusi dalam penelitian ini berupa item masukan terhadap perancangan produk MBPU, subsistem, komponen, dan pengendalian proses. Daftar ?selling point" dari produk baru MBPU yang dimaksud, telah disusun, untuk dapat digunakan dalam pemasaran produk, distribusi, serta dalam menentukan strategi promosi.
Nowadays, safety aspect as an importance issue, because the direct impact will occur to the personal, properties, and environment. Therefore all kind of the consumer, industrial, and commercial product must be made with ensure minimal operating hazard to user. The design stage product development in order how to design safer product and limit liability cost which to pay, with assure minimize operational hazard will occur, and during maintenance work. With taken the universal precision lathe (UPL) a: case studies, preliminary hazard analysis will be done through observing the product in use. References to the standard and safety consideration, or provision and use of work equipment regulation, already make the list of questionnaire and then given many customer group for filled Beside of safety aspect option, another option; i.e. reliability, efficiency, quality, can be write and choose requirement and need freely by customer. Recapitulation of questionnaire list, then fill to the QFD diagram, and will done with four phase. The result is target of substitution quality control. Predetermine through matrix scoring concept, and design deployment of UPL subsystem, the characteristic and processes parameter a number of part is determined, and their make the list of operating instruction quality control plan chart. Caused by safety aspect and the others importance aspect of UPL development processes by the QFD approach - with different degree of importance of customer group ---- therefore design of architecture UPL products, designed in modular shape, so that the requirement and needs can satisfy by machine tools builders. The contributions of this research is input items for UPL product design, subsystem, part, and processes plan and control chart. The selling point of new product was listed, that is, advertisable characteristics pertinent to market segment. Based on the point, UPL marketing, distribution, and promotion strategies are decided

ABSTRAK
Tingkat kecelakaan kerja di Indonesia khususnya di sektor konstruksi masih sangat tinggi. Sehingga perlu diidentifkasi hubungan antara kebijakan dan Budaya Keselamatan apa saja yang paling berpengaruh terhadap kinerja keselamatan dan kinerja proyek pada proyek konstruksi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mencari variabel kebijakan dan Budaya Keselamatan apa saja yang paling berpengaruh terhadap kinerja keselamatan dan kinerja proyek pada proyek konstruksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan sekunder dari hasil literature yang tervalidasi oleh pakar dan kuesioner responden yang dianalisa menggunakan Metode SEM-PLS. Hasil penelitian variable signifikan dan paling dominan adalah kebijakan keselamatan mempengaruhi budaya fisik, kinerja keselamatan dan kinerja proyek.
ABSTRACT
The level of accidents in Indonesia, especially in the construction sector is still high. So that needs are identified, the relationship between policy and safety Culture on safety performance and performance project in construction sector. The purpose of this research is to know the variables of policy and Safety culture that affect on safety performance and performance project in the construction sector. This study uses data from literature that has been validated by experts and respondent questionnaires analyzed by SEM PLS method. The results of this study will show the dimensions of what is most significant in affecting safety performance and project performance.

Abstrak :
The current trend of building more streamlined structures has made stability analysis a subject of extreme importance. It is mostly a safety issue because Stability loss could result in an unimaginable catastrophe. Written by two authors with a combined 80 years of professional and academic experience, the objective of Stability of Structures: Principles and Applications is to provide engineers and architects with a firm grasp of the fundamentals and principles that are essential to performing effective stability analysts. Concise and readable, this guide presents stability analysis within the context of elementary nonlinear flexural analysis, providing a strong foundation for incorporating theory into everyday practice. The first chapter introduces the buckling of columns. It begins with the linear elastic theory and proceeds to include the effects of large deformations and inelastic behavior. In Chapter 2 various approximate methods are illustrated along with the fundamentals of energy methods. The chapter concludes by introducing several special topics, some advanced, that are useful in understanding the physical resistance mechanisms and consistent and rigorous mathematical analysis. Chapters 3 and 4 cover buckling of beam-columns. Chapter 5 presents torsion in structures in some detail, which is one of the least well understood subjects in the entire spectrum of structural mechanics. Strictly speaking, torsion itself does not belong to a topic in structural stability, but needs to be covered to some extent for a better understanding of buckling accompanied with torsional behavior. Chapters 6 and 7 consider stability of framed structures in conjunction with torsional behavior of structures. Chapters 8 to 10 consider buckling of plate elements, cylindrical shells, and general shells. Although the book is primarily devoted to analysis, rudimentary design aspects are discussed. The accompanying website will include additional formulas and problems based on the author's on software which is currently being used in corporations. The website will also include equations and examples based on there personal experiences. In addition, the website will include a solutions manual for those who wish to use the book as a text book for a two-semester course.
