[Radio sebagai media massa memiliki peran dalam memberikan gambaran terhadap realitas masyarakat. Karakteristik pemberitaan yang dimiliki berupa sajian audio ini menjadi ruang publik secara luas bagi masyarakat. Kehadiran ruang publik melalui radio dianggap mampu melakukan proses konstitutif dalam membentuk diskursus kejahatan. Pada dasarnya proses konstitutif membutuhkan agensi untuk menjalankan proses mencapai konstuksi diskursus kejahatan. Radio dan masyarakat dipandang sebagai agensi dalam proses konstitutif ini. Dengan menggunakan kerangka teori kriminologi konstitutif dapat menjelaskan proses konstitutif diskursus kejahatan pada ruang publik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif dan metode studi kasus untuk memberikan gambaran proses konstitutif dalam konstruksi diskursus kejahatan pada realitas masyarakat melalui radio PRFM.;Radio as the mass media has a role in provide a reality of the community. Characteristic of the news that offering audio, is becoming a widely space for the community .The presence of public sphere on the radio are able to perform the process of constitutive in forming crime discourse. Basically constitutive process needs the agency to achieve formation of crime discourse. Radio and the community is seen as the agency in the constitutive process. Using constitutive criminology theory can provide an explanation to the process of constructing crime discourse in public sphere.
