Latar belakang: Penilaian kualitas hidup dibutuhkan untuk menilai respons terapi. Saat
ini belum tersedia instrumen penilaian kualitas hidup pasien urtikaria kronik berbahasa
Indonesia.
......Background: Assessment of quality of life is needed to assess therapeutic response.
There is no instrument for assessing the quality of life of chronic urticaria patients in
Indonesia. CU-Q2oL is a specific questionnaire for chronic urticaria that was first
developed in Italian version. Cross-language and cultural adaptation processes are
needed so that the questionnaire can be used in Indonesia. Validity and reliability tests
are important to ensure that the language or term that used is appropriate to the local
culture and there is no change in the validity and reliability of the questionnaire.
Objective: Obtain an Indonesian-language CU-Q2oL questionnaire that adapted from
Itaian version of CU-Q2oL to specifically assess the quality of life of patients with
chronic urticaria.
Method: The Italian version CU-Q2oL was translated into Indonesian language. The
KHUK questionnaire was answered by 40 chronic urticaria patients in dermatology
dan venereologi clinic of Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital using google form.
Validity test is done by calculating the value of the correlation coefficient, reliability
test is done by calculating the value of Cronbach α and intraclass coefficient.
Result: Cross-language and cultural adaptations of Italian vesrsion CU-Q2oL resulted
a KHUK questionnaire.. Correlation coefficient values for all questions with a total
score ranging from 0.467 to 0.856. The question correlation coefficient with domain
scores was between 0.585 - 0.958. Cronbach α of all questions 0,923 and the value of
cronbach α of questions according to the realm ranged from 0.738 - 0.904. The ICC for
all questions is 0.913 and the ICC for each domain ranges from 0.898 - 0.950.
Conclusion: KHUK questionnaire based on cross – language and cultural adaptation
has been obtained. The questionnaire is valid and reliable to assess the quality of life of
chronic urticaria patients in Indonesia.

This briefs is dedicated to analyze the relations between quality of life and construction of citizenship of young people in Argentina, considering two specific social scenarios, the community and the university. In the case of community it is important to note that it not imply uniformity, as community means the inclusion of diversity and the achievement of sharing within it, and in the case of university it will be necessary to recognize that as an educational institution the university has expanded his traditional role of production of knowledge, to be an institution of social reference and social support for students. To do this the author will show some of the results of a decade of research in quality of life and young people, using quantitative and qualitative methods.

The EQ-5D instrument, as a standardized, cross-culturally validated measure of self-assessed health has a hugely important role in understanding population health within and across countries. Over the past two decades a wealth of international population health survey data have been accumulated by the EuroQol Group from research conducted in many countries across four continents. One of the success factors of the EQ-5D instruments has been the easy availability of national or international sets of EQ-5D data, as well as clear explanations and guidance for users. There is an unmet need to produce a comprehensive book that captures up-to-date and expanded information of EQ-5D self-reported health and index values. EQ-5D population norms and cross-country analyses are provided from representative national surveys of 20 countries and additional regional surveys. This book will be a must for those who believe that how people report and value health is very important.

This book explores how lighting systems based on LED sources have the ability to positively influence the human circadian system, with benefits for health and well-being. The opening chapters examine the functioning of the human circadian system, its response to artificial lighting, potential health impacts of different types of light exposure, and current standards in circadian photometry. A first case study analyzes the natural lighting available in an urban interior, concluding that it is unable to activate the human circadian system over the entire year. Important original research is then described in which systems suitable for artificial circadian lighting in residential interiors and offices were developed after testing of new design paradigms based on LED sources. Readers will also find a detailed analysis of the LED products available or under development globally that may contribute to optimal artificial circadian lighting, as well as the environmental sensors, control interfaces, and monitoring systems suitable for integration with new LED lighting systems. Finally, guidelines for circadian lighting design are proposed, with identification of key requirements.

The aim of the Handbook of Social Indicators and Quality of Life Research is to create an overview of the field of Quality of Life (QOL) studies in the early years of the 21st century that can be updated and improved upon as the field evolves and the century unfolds.
This book provides a review of the historical development of the field including the history of QOL in medicine and mental health as well as the research related to quality-of-work-life (QWL) programs. It discusses several of QOL main concepts, happiness, positive psychology, and subjective wellbeing. Relations between spirituality and religiousness and QOL are examined as are the effects of educational attainment on QOL and marketing, and the associations with economic growth. The book goes on to investigate methodological approaches and issues that should be considered in measuring and analysing quality of life from a quantitative perspective. The final chapters are dedicated to research on elements of QOL in a broad range of countries and populations.
