Abstrak :
Stasiun kereta Universitas Indonesia merupakan pintu masuk menuju kampus UI Depok bagi penumpang kereta listrik. Jumlah penumpang yang naik/turun dari Universitas Indonesia ini terus bertambah. Penambahan jumlah penumpang tersebut harus disesuaikan dengan peningkatan kualitas infrastruktur stasiun, salah satunya adalah peron. Peron memiliki beberapa zona dan setiap zona harus disesuaikan dimensinya dengan permintaan penumpang yang ada. Karena itu perlu adanya analisa antara daya tampung zona pada peron yang telah ada pada saat ini di Universitas Indonesia dengan permintaan penumpang untuk tahun mendatang, terutama zona menunggu peron. Analisa operasional zona menunggu peron stasiun UI ini dilakukan pada peron sisi timur yang dilewati kereta arah Jakarta dan peron sisi barat yang dilewati kereta arah Bogor. Analisa operasional peron ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai ruang dan nilai kepadatan dari zona menunggu peron dan nilai tingkat pelayanan dari zona menunggu peron stasiun UI untuk tahun mendatang. Analisa ini akan disesuaikan dengan pertumbuhan volume penumpang stasiun UI sehingga diperlukan estimasi volume penumpang stasiun UI. Seluruh data volume penumpang dan luas area efektif zona menunggu peron akan diolah untuk mendapatkan nilai kepadatan dan ruang peron stasiun UI. Dari hasil pengolahan data didapatkan bahwa nilai ruang dan kepadatan dari peron sisi timur telah memasuki tingkat pelayanan D pada tahun 2015. Untuk peron sisi barat masih dalan tingkat pelayanan yang baik hingga tahun 2016 dimana memiliki nilai rata-rata B. Dari hasil analisa operasional untuk umur pakai didapatkan bahwa zona menunggu peron sisi timur dari stasiun UI hanya bisa menampung pertumbuhan volume penumpang hingga tahun 2023 karena pada tahun 2024 telah mamasuki tingkat pelayanan E dan zona menunggu peron sisi barat dapat menampung pertambahan volume penumpang hingga tahun 2036.

Train station University of Indonesia is the gate of University of Indonesia Campus in Depok for electricity train. The number of passenger who depart and arrive in this station increase every year. This number shlould be followed by the increasing of the quality service of the station infrastructure, which one of them is the platform. Platform has some zones which has its dimension and should be developed by the increasing of passenger. So that, it is neccessary to do such an operational analysis between the capacity of the platform and the passenger demand, especially on the waiting zone platform. The operational analysis is being done at the east side platform which passed by train to Jakarta and west side platform which passed by train to Bogor. This operational analysis is being done to identify the value of space and densiry of the waiting zone platform and also to determine the level of service of waiting zone platform in University of Indonesia station. This analysis will follow the demand growth of the University of Indonesia station?s passenger so that it will be neccessary to estimate the passenger demand. All the passenger demand and waiting zone platform effective area?s data will be analyzed to identify the value of density and passenger space. That analysis revealed that the value of density and space on the east side platform will be worse than before because it already on level of service D on 2015. For the west side platform, the value of level of service still B to the end of 2016. From the long term operational analysis it revealed that the east side waiting zone platform will be no longer able to operate in 2024 because it will be on level of service E and the west side waiting zone platform will be on level of service E on 2037.

Kemunculan system kereta api Commuter Line mendorong masyarakat untuk mengakses stasiun dan naik kereta, alih-alih menggunakan kendaraan pribadi. Ini membuat stasiun menjadi titik di mana orang-orang dating dan pergi dan mendorong berkembangnya elemen-element perkotaan di kawasan sekitar stasiun seperti bangunan, halte bus, flyover, pagar stasiun, dan bahkan tiang listrik sebagai respon terhadap kehadiran stasiun. Orang-orang mulai membangun berbagai macam fasilitas yang mendukung para pengguna kereta, seperti toko, restoran, area parkir, titik transportasi lain, dan kawasan perumahan. Ketika orang-orang mengokupasi kawaan sekitar stasiun, mereka mulai mencari dan memakai titik-titik yang terbentuk dari elemen perkotaan untuk menunjang aktivitas mereka. Olehkarenaitu, skripsi ini berdasarkan pada fenomena perkembangan tempat-tempat di kawasan sekitar stasiun yang telah menjadi simpul baru di dalam kota. Selanjutnya, berangkat dari fenomena tersebut, observasi pada kawasan sekitar stasiun Commuter Line dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana orang-orang memanfaatkan elemen perkotaan di kawasan tersebut.

The presence of the Commuter Line train system encourages people to access the station and catch the train, instead of drive their private vehicles. This makes the train stations become the nodes for people to come in and encourages a development of the urban elements around the station such as buildings, bus shelter, flyover, station rsquo s fence and even electrical poles as the response of the station. People start to build facilities which can support the users of the Commuter Line, such as shops, restaurants, parking area, another transportation nodes, and residential area. When the commuters occupy the station rsquo s surrounding area, they begin to look and utilize the spots that formed from the urban elements to support their activities. Thus, this undergraduate thesis is based on the phenomena of the place development around the station that already become a new nodes within the city. Then, based on the phenomena, an observation of the Commuter Line surrounding area is conducted to understand how people utilize the urban elements in the mentioned area.
