"Pembahasan dalam skripsi ini adalah mengenai praktik penindasan terhadap pemegang saham (oppression atau reverse oppression) dalam perseroan terbatas di Indonesia. Dalam UU No. 40 Tahun 2007 tentang Perseroan Terbatas tidak diatur mengenai oppression, namun pada praktiknya, oppresion dan reverse oppression diakui dalam pertimbangan majelis hakim dalam putusan-putusan pengadilan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian yuridis normatif dengan tipologi penelitian deskriptif. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penulis mengajukan pokok permasalahan, yaitu: 1. Bagaimana pengaturan hak pemegang saham dalam UU No. 40 Tahun 2007 tentang Perseroan Terbatas?; 2. Bagaimana ketentuan dan jenis oppression di negara Singapura dan Australia?; 3. Bagaimana pengaturan oppression dalam UU No. 40 Tahun 2007 tentang Perseroan Terbatas?; 4. Bagaimana praktik oppression dan reverse oppression terhadap pemegang saham dalam perseroan terbatas di Indonesia? Berdasarkan kasus yang dianalisis, penulis memperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kasus-kasus terkait praktik oppression dan reverse oppression di Indonesia diajukan atas dasar perbuatan melawan hukum yang mana kurang sesuai untuk menjamin keseimbangan dan keadilan bagi para pihak yang berperkara dan juga perseroan.

The discussion of this academic thesis is about the practice of oppression and reverse oppression towards the shareholders in a limited liability company in Indonesia. Oppression is not regulated in Law No. 40 of 2007 regarding Limited Liability Companies, but in practice, oppression and reverse oppression are recognized by the judge considerations in court. This research is a normative juridical with a desciptive tipology. Based on the problems, the writer proposed the main issues, which are: 1. How is the regulation regarding shareholders rights based on Law No. 40 of 2007 regarding Limited Liability Company?; 2. How is the regulation and types of oppression in Singapore and Australia?; 3. How is the regulation regarding oppression based on Law No. 40 year 2007 regarding Limited Liability Company?; 4. How does the practice of oppression and reverse oppression towards the shareholders in limited liability in Indonesia? Eventually, the writer came to the conclusion that the cases related to the practice of oppression and reverse oppression in Indonesia proposed on the basis of tort, which is not appropriate to ensure the balance and fairness to the parties and the company itself."

"ABSTRAKBeberapa wanita, berusaha untuk mencari jati diri mereka dengan menggunakan tubuh sebagai sarana untuk berkomunikasi dan mengekspresikan diri dalam situasi yang berbeda-beda, oleh karena itu, terbentuklah identitas mereka sebagai makhluk feminin di masyarakat. Namun, melalui pengalaman dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, wanita telah dihadapkan pada kenyataan bahwa tubuh mereka selalu dipandang sebagai objek seksual dan sebagai sarana untuk memuaskan hasrat pria. Di satu sisi, wanita sangat tertindas oleh nilai-nilai yang dianut dalam masyarakat patriarki. Dalam novel Sidney Sheldon Nothing Lasts Forever 1994 , salah satu karakter wanita bernama Honey Taft, merupakan satu dari contoh wanita yang keberadaannya dalam masyarakat ditentukan hanya berdasarkan tubuh dan seksualitasnya oleh karakter lainnya. Sebagai kerangka teoretisnya, penelitian ini bergantung pada teori perwujudan wanita oleh Simone de Beauvoir. Dalam teorinya, Beauvoir menyatakan bahwa sepanjang sejarah, penindasan perempuan mengalihkan mereka ke ranah imanensi, atau penerimaan pasif dari peran yang ditugaskan kepada mereka oleh masyarakat, sampai mereka tidak lagi sadar bahwa mereka memiliki pilihan bebas. Makalah ini, oleh karena itu, berfokus pada analisis bagaimana tubuh wanita dapat menjadi sumber penindasan salah satu karakter dalam buku ini dengan menggunakan analisis tekstual.

ABSTRACTSome female, make an attempt to identify themselves by using their bodies as a way of communicating and expressing themselves through different situations, therefore, shaping their identity as a feminine being in the society. However, through experiences in daily life, female have been faced by the fact that their bodies are always seen as sexual objects and as a mean to please men rsquo s desire. In a way, women are much oppressed by the values shared in a patriarchal society. In Sidney Sheldon rsquo s novel Nothing Lasts Forever 1994 , one of the female characters named Honey Taft, is one example of a woman whose existence is often determined only from her body and sexuality by other characters. As its theoretical framework, this study depends on Simone de Beauvoir rsquo s theory of female embodiment. In her theory, Beauvoir stated that throughout history, women rsquo s oppression relegates them to the sphere of ldquo immanence, rdquo or the passive acceptance of roles assigned to them by the society, until they no longer aware that they have free choice. This paper, hence, focuses on analyzing how female body can become the source of oppression for one of the characters in the book by using textual analysis. "

"ABSTRAKTesis ini membahas kaitan antara memori dan opresi gender yang dialami tokoh utama perempuan di dalam novel The Teardrop Story Woman (1998) karya Catherine Lim dengan menggunakan konsep seks/gender Kate Millett dan teorimemori Daniel Schacter. ABSTRACTThis thesis is aimed at finding out the connection between memory and genderoppression that is experienced by the female protagonist in Catherine Lim?s TheTeardrop Story Woman (1998). Using Kate Millett?s concept of sex/gender andDaniel Schacter?s memory theory, the analysis shows that memory serves as ameans of internalizing gender-oppressive social constructions that eventuallyprevent the female protagonist from rebelling against gender oppression.However, at the same time, memory ? through selection process ? also serves as adefense strategy that helps the female protagonist cope with gender oppression ina situation where real resistance is not possible"
