"In the late 1960s and early 1970s David Marr produced three astonishing papers in which he gave a detailed account of how the fine structure and known cell types of the cerebellum, hippocampus and neocortex perform the functions that they do. He later went on to be one of the main founders of Computational Neuroscience. In his book on Vision he distinguished between the computational, algorithmic and implementational levels, and the three early theories concerned implementation. However, they were produced when Neuroscience was in its infancy. Now that so much more is known it is time to revisit these early theories to see to what extent they are still valid and what needs to be altered to produce viable theories that stand up to current evidence. This book has gathered some of the most distinguished international contributors to do this. After a general introduction there are three chapters on the cerebellum, three on the hippocampus and two on the neocortex. The book ends with an appreciation of the life of David Marr by Lucia Vaina.

Neuroscience specialist nurses play a role in nursing practice as providers of advanced nursing care in the neurological system, Implement Evidence Based Nursing (EBN) and are able to act as innovators in the treatment room. The role is carried out by providing nursing care using Roy's Adaptation Model in patients with brain tumors, especially in the tumor cellar region and 30 other cases with various nervous system disorders. The most maladaptive behavior is the physiological adaptation mode of decreased intracranial adaptive capacity. Nursing intervention management of increased intracnial pressure and monitoring of neurological status. The application of Evidence Based Nursing is carried out by applying 4AT as a delirium screening in acute stroke patients. Nursing innovation program in the form of ERAS management after craniotomy surgery. Roy's Adaptation Model has had a major influence on the nursing profession. This model is one that is often used in guiding nursing research, education and practice."

In everyday life, it is known that one side of the limb dominates over the other. For people who work with their right hand, it is said that the right hand is more dominant than the left hand. The same situation also occurs in the legs. This is associated with the left cerebral hemisphere being dominant over the right cerebral hemisphere. In normal eyes, it is assumed that there will be no dominance of one eye over the other eye or next to it. This is because the impulses that arise as a result of light stimulation in both eyes will travel or be diverted towards the two primary visual cortex and reach both simultaneously. As is known, the central fovea of the right eye will correspond to the central fovea of the left eye, as well as the medial retina of the right eye and vice versa. However, when carrying out certain jobs that use one eye, for example in athletes who are shooters, archers or laboratory workers who use monocular microscopes, there is a tendency to use the eye that is more comfortable for the worker. In normal eyes, it is known that with a decrease in the intensity of light entering the eye, the ability to see clearly will decrease."

"This book investigates the fascinating concept of a continuum between human memory and memory of materials. The first part provides state-of-the-art information on shape memory alloys and outlines a brief history of memory from the ancient Greeks to the present day, describing phenomenological, philosophical, and technical approaches such as neuroscience. Then, using a wealth of anecdotes, data from academic literature, and original research, this short book discusses the concepts of post-memory, memristors and forgiveness, highlights the analogies between materials defects and memory traces in the human brain. Lastly, it tackles questions of how human memory and memory of materials work together and interact. With insights from materials mechanics, neuroscience and philosophy, it enables readers to understand and continue this open debate on human memory."
