The advancement of technology presents both challenges and opportunities for museums in Indonesia, including the Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics. Based on research involving 112 visitors, the majority reported difficulties accessing information on exhibited collections, such as limited and fragmented collection information. This situation risks diminishing the museum's role as an educational and cultural preservation institution that should provide an enriching learning experience. Addressing this need, the application of digital technology is proposed as a viable solution to enhance information accessibility for museum visitors. This research introduces a participatory digital archaeology approach that involves the public's knowledge in reconstructing collection information. The primary question guiding this research is: How can participatory digital archaeology be applied to the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics? An experimental quantitative research method was employed, resulting in a digital application design that meets visitor needs based on survey data. This application aims to increase visitor engagement and enhance the museum's educational and cultural preservation roles in a more interactive and inclusive manner."

"Visitor engagement and learning, outreach, and inclusion are concepts that have long dominated professional museum discourses. The recent rapid uptake of various forms of social media in many parts of the world, however, calls for a reformulation of familiar opportunities and obstacles in museum debates and practices. Young people, as both early adopters of digital forms of communication and latecomers to museums, increasingly figure as a key target group for many museums. This volume presents and discusses the most advanced research on the multiple ways in which social media operates to transform museum communications in countries as diverse as Australia, Denmark, Germany, Norway, the UK, and the United States. It examines the socio-cultural contexts, organizational and education consequences, and methodological implications of these transformations.
