Abstrak :
Tingkat penyalahgunaan narkotika di Indonesia terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Kebiasaan merokok diketahui menjadi gerbang utama menuju pemakaian narkotika dan memicu berbagai penyakit serta kelainan jaringan lunak mulut termasuk stomatitis nikotina. Tujuan: mengetahui prevalensi dan distribusi stomatitis nikotina pada residen Balai Besar Rehabilitasi Badan Narkotika Nasional Lido-Jawa Barat, berdasarkan rekam medik, kuesioner, dan pemeriksaan klinis rongga mulut. Hasil: pada 203 subjek terdapat 69 (34%) subjek dengan stomatitis nikotina, rata-rata usia 30,9 tahun, dan distribusi lebih tinggi pada perokok yang mulai sejak muda dengan durasi >10 tahun. Kesimpulan: prevalensi stomatitis nikotina menunjukan angka yang cukup tinggi dan lebih banyak ditemukan pada subjek dengan durasi merokok yang lama. ...... Objectives: to determine nicotine stomatitis prevalence and distribution in residents at Balai Besar Rehabilitasi Badan Narkotika Nasional Lido-Jawa Barat based on medical records, questionnaires and clinical oral examinaton. Results: in 203 subjects, 69 (34%) subjects with nicotine stomatitis; average age is 30.9 years old and higher distribution in those who has been smoking since young age for >10 years. Conclusion: nicotine stomatitis prevalence showed a high rate and found in subjects with long duration of smoking.
