"Otomasi tengah mengubah jurnalisme. Jurnalisme robot, atau jurnalisme otomatis, telah digunakan dalam sejumlah proses produksi berita. Jurnalisme robot merupakan salah satu jenis dari computer-assisted reporting (CAR) tingkat lanjut yang menggunakan Artificial Intelligence (AI). Cara kerja jurnalis robot didasarkan pada dua pilar: pertama, melakukan otomatisasi untuk mengekstraksi pengetahuan baru dari himpunan data besar dan algoritma yang secara otomatis mengubah pengetahuan (data) ini menjadi narasi yang bisa dibaca tanpa keterlibatan manusia. Teknologi ini dapat dilihat sebagai peluang untuk meningkatkan produktivitas pekerjaan dalam waktu yang lebih singkat. Di Indonesia, Beritagar.id telah menggunakan teknologi ini, yang diberi nama Robotorial, untuk produksi berita sepak bola, laporan perdagangan saham dan sorotan media. Robot jurnalis berfungsi baik ketika topiknya berulang dan data tersedia sesuai permintaan. Sehingga peran jurnalis manusia tetap diperlukan untuk membuat berita yang lebih kreatif dan mendalam.

Automation is changing journalism. Robot journalism, or automated journalism, has already been used in various news productions. Robot journalism is a form of advanced computer-assisted reporting (CAR) that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI). Robotic Journalism is based on two pillars: The computer software that automatically extracts new knowledge from vast data silos employing the new “social Physics” concept; algorithms that automatically convert this knowledge into readable stories without human involvement. Robot journalism can be seen as an opportunity to increase work productivity in a shorter time. This technology has been employed by Beritagar.id, one of online media in Indonesia, under the name Robotorial in reporting various issues such as football match result, stocks daily reports and media monitoring. The result shows that, robot journalist works smoothly on repetitive topics and data is available on request. So, the human role is still needed for writing more creative and in-depth stories."

"Indonesia sebagai negara demokrasi harus melaksanakan sistem dan nilai-nilai demokrasi. Implementasi demokrasi ini mendapat tantangan sebagian umat Islam (kelompok fundamentalis). Studi literatur menunjukkan bahwa hubungan demokrasi dan Islam lebih banyak disorot dari sisi politik dan pada tataran prosedural (pemilihan umum). Peneliti terjebak cara berfikir oposisi biner: Islam moderat versus fundamentalisme. Artikel ini membahas konstruksi wacana nilai-nilai demokrasi oleh kelompok Islam fundamentalis di media online. Kelompok Islam fundamentalis yang dimaksud adalah JAT, MMI, dan HTI. Aspek yang dikaji adalah konstruksi kelompok Islam fundamentalis terhadap pemilihan umum, HAM, kebebasan beragama, kelompok minoritas, kebebasan berekspresi. Penelitian ini menggunakan perspektif Teori Konstruksi Realitas Sosial dan model analisis wacana Theo Van Leeuwen.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penolakan mereka terhadap demokrasi sebatas pemilihan umum. Mereka menerima nilai-nilai demokrasi berupa HAM, kelompok minoritas, dan kebebasan berekspresi. Mereka cenderung menolak kebebasan beragama. Penerimaan mereka terhadap nilai-nilai demokrasi tersebut harus dipahami dalam konteks bisa didamaikan dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Kelompok Islam fundamentalis melakukan adaptasi, reinterpretasi, kontekstualisasi nilai-nilai demokrasi sesuai dengan aspirasi Islam. Media online adalah sarana efektif untuk mendiseminasikan gagasan mereka. Kajian selanjutnya dianjurkan untuk memperdalam fenomena fundamentalisme ini pada aspek pemaknaan, pengalaman, atau dialektika mereka sebagai agen/struktur.

Indonesia -as a democratic country- implement system and democratic values. In the democracy implementation, Indonesia get a challange from Islam-based fundamentalism movement. Literature study shows that relation democracy and Islam focus more on political facet and procedural democracy (general election). Researchers get tied by binnary-opposition way of thinking: moderat Islam versus fundamentalism. This article deals with Islam-based fundamentalist-group’s construction on democratic-value discourse in online media. Those groups are JAT, MMI, dan HTI. We focus on Islam-based fundamentalist group’s construction on general election, human rights, freedom of faith, minority group, freedom of expression. This research harnesses social construction perspective theory and discourse analysis model of Theo Van Leeuwen.
The result shows that their repudiation against democracy only in general election meaning. They accept democratic values : human rights, minority group, freedom of expression but they tend to disagree to freedom of faith. Hence, their democratic-value acquiescence can be only undertood in the context of Islamic value. Islam-based fundamentalist-groups make adaptation, reinterpretation, contextualization of the democratic values in compliance with Islam aspiration. Online Media (internet) is an effective vehicle to spread out fundamentalist’s thought. further researces should investigate this fundamentalism phenomenon from the aspect of their reception, experience, or dialectic as agent/structure.

"[ABSTRAK
Media relation merupakan salah satu praktik yang terdapat dalam sistem dari Departemen Public Relations (PR) dan bertujuan supaya informasi dari suatu organisasi dapat disebarluaskan kepada publik melalui saluran suatu industri media. Ternyata terdapat departemen PR dari suatu industri media melakukan praktik media relations dengan industri media lain meskipun telah memiliki saluran media untuk menyebarkan informasi. Dalam praktik media relations yang terdapat dalam sistem Departemen PR, para anggota departemen PR sebagai para agen berhubungan dengan para agen lain dari redaksi industri media lain berdasarkan struktur yang terus-menerus diproduksi dan direproduksi. Struktur diproduksi dan direproduksi melalui interaksi dan tindakan para agen, baik dalam lingkungan internal dan lingkungan eksternal departemen. Ketika para agen berinteraksi, mereka juga melakukan tindakan komunikasi. Struktur dan sistem dalam praktik media relations yang terus diproduksi dan direproduksi dapat berlangsung secara dinamis (transformasi) dan stabil (rutinitas). Untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses produksi dan reproduksi tersebut dalam interaksi para agen, maka diperlukan analisis menggunakan teori strukturasi yang dikembangkan oleh McPhee dan Poole.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dan memberikan pemahaman mengenai strukturasi komunikasi internal dan komunikasi eksternal dalam praktik media relations yang terjadi di dalam departemen PR. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus instrumental tunggal dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa di dalam sistem departemen PR, staf berhubungan dengan atasannya di lingkungan internal dan berhubungan dengan jurnalis dan atasan jurnalis di lingkungan eksternal. Dalam melakukan praktik media relations, para agen menggunakan struktur aturan berupa prosedur, kebijakan, job description, dan kode etik sebagai pedoman dan sumber daya berupa pengalaman, pengetahuan, dan kemampuan/skill dalam bertindak dan berinteraksi sehingga sistem dan praktik dapat berlangsung terus-menerus baik secara dinamis maupun statis.

ABSTRACT
Media relation is one of the practices that are found in the system of Public Relations (PR) department and it aims to spread information from an organization to its public through channel of a media industry. Apparently, a PR department of a media industry implements the media relations practice with other media industries, although it has already had its own channel to spread the information. In the practice of media relations in the PR department system, members of the PR department as agents are in contact with the other agents from the newsrooms of other media industries and it is done based on the structure that is continuously produced and reproduced. The structure is produced and reproduced through interactions and actions of the agents, both in the internal environment and external environment of the department. When the agents interact, they also do the actions of the communication. The structure and the system in the practice of media relations that are continuously produced and reproduction can happen dynamically (transformation) and stable (routines). To know how the process of production and reproduction in the interaction of the agents, then required an analysis using structuration theory developed by McPhee and Poole.
This research aims to describe and provide understanding of structuration of internal communication and external communication in the practice of media relations that occur in the department of PR. The method used in this research is instrumental case studies with single descriptive qualitative approach. From this study, it is found that in the PR department system, the staff is connected with his superiors in the internal environment and connected with the journalist and superiors journalists in the external environment. In conducting the practice of media relations, the agents utilize the structure of rules, such as procedure, policy, job description and code of ethics as the guidelines and of resources, such as experience, knowledge and skill to act and interact so that the system and practice can take place continuously, either dynamically or statically.

Televisi memiliki manfaat positif dan dampak negatif. Banyaknya tayangan yang kurang pantas saat ini tidak diimbangi dengan pemahaman masyarakat terkait media. Anak-anak yang belum dapat memilih tayangan yang baik dan tidak, dapat dengan mudah terkena dampak negatifnya. YPMA (Yayasan Pengembangan Media Anak) adalah salah satu organisasi non-profit yang berjuang untuk literasi media khususnya anak-anak. YPMA terdiri dari para ahli media dan sudah memiliki berbagai materi ajar literasi media. Namun saat ini, YPMA memiliki kendala terkait pendanaan dan SDM (sumber daya manusia) untuk melakukan kegiatannya dan hanya bisa memanfaatkan website sebagai corong informasi ke masyarakat.
Tujuan dari program kampanye ini adalah memperluas dan mempermudah masyarakat memahami literasi media dan memberikan pembelajaran literasi media untuk anak. Dengan tujuan jangka panjang masyarakat dapat memilih dan mengkritisi media sehingga tayangan di stasiun televisi juga berkualitas. Dengan menggunakan strategi pengembangan sistem informasi, dan memperluas kampanye dengan menggunakan materi yang telah ada untuk membuat masyarakat khususnya anak-anak memahami literasi media. Adapun sasaran program komunikasi adalah menyadarkan masyarakat khususnya orang tua bahwa literasi media adalah hal yang penting dengan memberikan pemahaman literasi media, menjadikan YPMA sebagai sumber rekomendasi media yang aman untuk masyarakat dan meningkatkan branding awareness YPMA sebagai lembaga yang peduli media untuk anak.

ABSTRACT
Television has positive benefits and negative impacts.The number of impressions that are not appropriate at this time is not matched with the relevant public's understanding of media. Children who have not been able to choose a good impression, can be easily affected by the negative impacts.YPMA is a non-profit organization that is focus for media literacy, especially the children.YPMA consisting of media experts and already has a variety of media literacy teaching materials. But this time, YPMA have problems related funding and HR (human resources) to carry out its activities and can only utilize the website as a mouthpiece of information to the public.
The objective of this program is expand and facilitate public understanding of media literacy and providing media literacy learning for children. With a long-term goal that people can choose and criticize the media so that the impressions on television stations also qualified. And develop information systems, and expand the campaign by using materials that already exist to make people, especially the children understand media literacy as the strategies. The target communication of this program are to sensitize the public, especially parents that media literacy is essential to provide an understanding of media literacy, making YPMA as a source of recommendations for public media and improving brand awareness YPMA as media institutions that care for children.

"Situasi banjir informasi pada era media baru, khususnya media online, pada saat ini menyebabkan persaingan bisnis yang membuat para pemilik situs berita online ramai-ramai mengejar traffic. Dalam kondisi demikian, pola audiens dalam mengonsumsi media baru telah bergeser dengan adanya unsur selektivitas dan interaktivitas. Hal ini menjadikan banyaknya kemunculan berita-berita dengan bingkai beragam cara yang ditujukan untuk menarik perhatian audiens. Ada konsekuensi negatif yang harus ditanggung yakni rancunya kebenaran ataupun akurasi suatu berita karena kaidah-kaidah jurnalistik yang seringkali terabaikan. Hilangnya gatekeeper dalam penyampaian berita dalam media baru khususnya media online menjadi musuh terbesar dalam akurasi berita dan mengubah konsep komunikasi massa.
Karakteristik media online yang begitu cepat menyajikan berita dalam beraneka raga bingkai diprediksi memiliki dampak bagi individu. Ada satu konsep dalam multidisiplin ilmu komunikasi dan psikologi terkait dengan efek bingkai bagi individu, yakni heuristik. Penilaian heuristik adalah penilaian yang fast dan frugal yaitu berlangsung secara otomatis dan cepat dalam menilai suatu bingkai berita. Penelitian ini akan melihat apakah bingkai berita-berita online memiliki dampak bagi individu, khususnya penilaian heuristik mereka, atau tidak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam menjawab pertanyaan penelitian adalah dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi penelitian tentang efek media.

Flood of information in the new media era, especially online media, at the moment led to business competition among the industry chasing the traffic. In such conditions, the pattern of the audience consumpting new media has shifted to the element of selectivity and interactivity. This makes the number of news frame in diversed ways intended to attract the audience. There are negative consequences to be borned by the ambiguous truth or accuracy of any news because of the rules of journalism that are often overlooked. The loss of gatekeeper in delivering the news in the new media become the biggest enemy of the accuracy and change the concept of mass communication.
The characteristic of online media quickly presenting the news in a variety of body frame is predicted to have an impact for the individual. There is a concept in multidisciplinary communication science and psychology associated with the effect of the frame for the individual, which is a heuristic. Heuristic judgement is a fast and frugal assessment which takes place automatically and quickly assess from the news frame. This study will look at whether the frame of online news has implications for individual, in particular assessment of their heuristics, or not. The method used to answer the research questions is quantitative methods experiment. The results of this study are expected to contribute to research on the media effects.

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pengguna internet dan media social berada dalam segmen bonus demografi dan rawan terpapar oleh bahaya Narkotika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis karakteristik komunikasi media social dalam proses penurunan prevalensi penyalahgunaan Narkotika dan untuk mengetahui skenario kebijakan komunikasi pada media ocial dalam penanggulangan penyalahgunaan Narkotika untuk menunjang ketahanan nasional. Penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualittatif dengan metode analitik AHP guna menentukan prioritas mana yang tepat dalam skenario kebijakan komunikasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis AHP, prioritas skenario akibat dari komunikasi media ocial adalah jumlah pengguna Narkotika menurun. Kriteria efek yang yang menjadi prioritas dalam mencapai prestasi komunikasi media social adalah efek moderat. Prioritas kriteria dalam hal strategi ukuran keberhasilan adalah agenda setting, sedangkan kebijakan pilihan adalah kebijakan MAN yaitu dalam hal pengembangan SDM penyebar komunikasi. Komunikasi dengan menggunakan media sosial terutama dalam hal penyebaran informasi mengenai bahaya penyalahgunaan Narkotika dimungkinkan dapat menurunkan prevalensi penyalahgunaan Narkotika dan penyebaran informasi dengan menggunaan media sosial dapat menjadi metode khusus untuk menurunkan prevalensi pengguna Narkotika.

ABSTRACT
This research discusses the internet and social media users segmented into demographic bonus and they are vulnerable to be exposed to the hazards of Illegal Drugs. This research aims to analyze the characteristic of social media communications in the process of decreasing the prevalence of Illegal Drugs abuse and to acknowledge the scenario of communications policy towards social media for the prevention of Illegal Drugs abuse to support the national resilience. This research is a qualitative research applying a method the so called Analytic Hierarchy Process AHP for determining which precise priority in the scenario of communications policy. Based on such AHP result, scenario priority on account of the social media communications is the decreasing of amount of Illegal Drugs users. The criteria effect as a priority to reach an achievement in the social media communications is a moderate effect. Criteria priority concerning the strategy of successful measurement is a setting agenda, meanwhile the choice policy is MAN policy regarding the Human Resource development as the communications spreader. Communications by using the social media specifically for the information dissemination concerning the dangerous of the Illegal Drugs abuse which such manner is assumed can decrease the prevalence of Illegal Drugs abuse but until the present time an accurate data is not available and no research discussed it. Information dissemination by using the social media can be a specific method for decreasing the prevalence of Illegal Drugs user. "
