......Background: Malocclusion is the irregularity of teeth and is considered as oral health problem resulting from various etiological factors causing esthetic dissatisfaction to functional impartment. Patients with malocclusion require orthodontic treatment to correct the malocclusion. Inclination and angulation of teeth are one of the factors that influence the success of stable and optimal orthodontic treatment. Objective: This study aims to describe the inclination and angulation of anterior teeth on class I malocclusion patients after fixed orthodontic treatment at the Orthodontic Specialist Clinic of RSKGM FKG UI. Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study is done using the secondary data found in the patient’s medical record. Results: From 96 medical records of class I malocclusion patients who have completed fixed orthodontic treatment at the Orthodontic Specialist Clinic of RSKGM FKG UI, the mean U1-SN angle is 105.60° ± 5.80°, the mean U1-PP angle is 114.55°. ± 6.21°, the mean angle of L1-MP is 93.63° ± 7.94°, and the mean angle of IMPA is 96.40° ± 7.96°. The mean angulation of tooth 11 is 89.03° ± 3.26°, mean angulation of tooth 21 is 90.35° ± 3.07°, mean angulation of tooth 31 is 89.28° ± 4.33°, and mean angulation of tooth 41 is of 90.61° ± 5.04°. Conclusion: Based on research on the Inclination and Angulation of Anterior Teeth on Class I Malocclusion Patients after Fixed Orthodontic Treatment at the Orthodontic Specialist Clinic of RSKGM FKG UI, the inclination of anterior teeth is within the normal range, except at the IMPA angle. The angulation of anterior teeth is relatively upright and parallel.

...... Background: Some studies showed that non-extraction orthodontic treatment in borderline cases led to upper and lower incisor inclination changes that affected patient’s soft tissue profile. Objective: To find out the correlation between upper and lower incisor inclination changes towards Nasolabial angle and Mentolabial angle value changes before and after non-extraction orthodontic treatment in class I malocclusion. Method: There were 26 samples before and after lateral cephalometric of orthodontic non extraction treatment with measurement of I-SN, IMP, Nasolabial, and Mentolabial angles. Statistical test was done using non parametric Wilcoxon test and Spearman correlation test. Result: No significant difference in I-SN angle and Nasolabial angle before and after orthodontic treatment. However, there was a significant difference in IMP and Mentolabial angles before and after orthodontic treatment. Correlation test showed a very weak negative correlation between I-SN and IMP angle changes towards Nasolabial and Mentolabial angle changes. Conclusion: The decrease of I-SN angle is followed by the increase of Nasolabial angle, although the correlation is very weak. The increase of IMP angle is followed by the increase of Mentolabial angle, which also has a very weak correlation.

Recognizing and Correcting Developing Malocclusions: A Problem-oriented Approach to Orthodontics provides an evidence-based approach to early treatment, an often-controversial topic. Based on decades of experience in clinical practice and education, Drs. Ara·jo and Buschang clearly present treatment protocols for mixed-dentition patients with various malocclusions and other orthodontic problems. Class I, Class II, and Class III malocclusions are covered extensively, along with eruptive deviations and open-bite malocclusions. The literature is comprehensively reviewed to ensure that the reader thoroughly understands the development, phenotypic characteristics, and etiology of each type of malocclusion. Taking a problem-oriented approach, the editors provide detailed information for each case, develop comprehensive problem lists, and then provide evidence-based treatment solutions. The clinical focus of the text is ideally suited for the private-practice clinician, with numerous -- references and academic underpinnings to ensure its suitability for orthodontic and pediatric dentistry residents.
