"[Gips tipe IV sebagai material kedokteran gigi yang digunakan untuk membuat model kerja restorasi indirek harus memiliki kekuatan dan resisten terhadap abrasi. Sifat ini dipengaruhi oleh shelf life dan tepatnya cara penyimpanan, yang jarang diperhatikan oleh penjual. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh shelf life terhadap nilai kuat tekan dengan merk GC Fujirock EP dan tanggal produksi yang berbeda (Desember 2014 dan Juli 2013). Dua puluh spesimen silinder (diameter: 20 mm, tinggi: 40 mm) dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok yang berbeda tanggal produksi, diuji kuat tekan dengan Universal Testing Machine (Shimadzu AG-5000, Jepang) dengan crosshead speed 1 mm/min dan beban 2500 kgF. Data dianalisis dengan uji t tidak berpasangan. Terdapat perbedaan bermakna (p<0,05) nilai kuat tekan kedua kelompok. Peningkatan nilai kuat tekan terlihat pada gips yang disimpan lebih lama., Type IV gypsum as a dental material for indirect restoration’s working model should have strength and abrasive-resistant properties. "[Walaupun bahan-bahan yang telah kedaluwarsa mengalami penurunan sifat, sampai saat ini masih ditemukan gips tipe IV yang telah kedaluwarsa di pasaran. Sehubungan dengan itu, untuk mengetahui pengaruh shelf life terhadap waktu pengerasan gips tipe IV, digunakan dua kelompok gips tipe IV (GC Fujirock EP) dengan waktu kedaluwarsa berbeda. Pengujian waktu pengerasan dilakukan dalam mold berdiameter dasar 70 mm dan atas 60 mm, dengan tinggi 40 mm, menggunakan Jarum Vicat. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna (p<0,05) antara dua kelompok gips tipe IV dengan waktu kedaluwarsa berbeda.
