Phisical fitness has impact on the productivity and the body's resistance to disease. This study aims to assess the dominant factor related to fitness measured by cardiorespiratory endurance using YMCA 3-minute step test method. The subjects study was 80 teachers at Yayasan Asih Putera Cimahi in March 2013. This study using Cross-sectional design. BMI is determined by measuring weight and height, percent body fat measured by BIA, physical activity is known through the Baecke questionnaire, and nutrient intake was calculated by using 3 day Food record. The statistical test used was a Chi Square test and Multiple Logistic Regression for multivariate analysis.
The results showed that 66.2 percent of the teachers classified as unfit group. Chi square test states that the variables age, sex, physical activity, BMI, PLT, a nutritional intake of energy, carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, Mg, Zn, and Fe had a significant association with cardiorespiratory fitness. Multivariate analysis showed that the dominant variable is associated with physical fitness is activity (p<0.005, OR= 48.34). It is suggested that sporting activities to have be done in order to increase the physical activity level, weight control, food supplements, as well as guidance to the food vendors.

"[Physical activity across the lifespan makes a clear, scientific case for exercise, sports, and an active lifestyle in preventing illness and establishing lifetime health habits at both the individual and the population levels. The book focuses on key aspects of physical/mental well-being—weight, mood, and self-regulation—and the role of physical activity in public health and school-based interventions targeting these areas. Contributors review definitional and measurement issues salient to understanding what physical activity is, to analyzing benefits of participation, and to implementing effective interventions. Also addressed are limitations of current research, steps needed to continue building the field, and emerging therapeutic possibilities for activity, such as the role of rough and tumble play in preventing ADHD., Physical activity across the lifespan makes a clear, scientific case for exercise, sports, and an active lifestyle in preventing illness and establishing lifetime health habits at both the individual and the population levels. "This new SpringerBrief in physiology explores the newest research findings on how exercise influences the fetus in utero and beyond. This book reviews the current findings of how maternal exercise throughout gestation influences fetal development of key organ systems, and also encompasses the relationship between maternal activity level and fetal, birth, and neonatal effects. This information will help researchers and scientists better understand the physiological effects of exercise during pregnancy on offspring development."

"The book covers areas of cellular physiology and metabolism that are of interest to scientists involved in research in diabetes and metabolic diseases. Some chapters of the book are specifically research-oriented, as all the authors are actively practicing either bench or clinical research in the area. In particular, the book discusses classical aspects of cellular physiology and the metabolism of physical exercise, as well as novel topics like exercise in transplantation and exercise in beta-cell failure, which mark the frontiers of research in sport-related sciences and research. "The textbook will describe the relationship between human cardiopulmonary system and exercise in a format that is related to the mode of exercise, health status and aging. It will include data regarding exercise training principles and the adaptations of the cardiopulmonary following, anaerobic, resistance and aerobic training. A more in-depth presentation of the cardiopulmonary system adaptations in pressing environments such as: warm, cold and altitude. Therefore, students will experience a depth and extent of content balanced with unique and effective learning features: It will help students find the way by both the text and subject matter. Knowing cardiopulmonary exercise function in health and disease will allow understand new research and findings relevant to cardiovascular status as assessed by cardiopulmonary exercise indices. It will bring together investigational exercise physiologists, cardiologists and scientists who share a wealth of experience needed to judge the cardiovascular status and function, and the impairments of patients with a variety of cardiac dysfunction. This book will provide a comprehensive, updated presentation of the information of the cardiovascular system as a whole, and its individual components."
