Abstrak :
Penelitian ini menjelaskan mengenai gerakan lingkungan anti sawit Greenpeace. Gerakan ini bertujuan untuk menghentikan laju deforestasi Hutan Indonesia yang diakibatkan oleh semakin meluasnya lahan perkebunan kelapa sawit. Gerakan ini termanifestasikan ke dalam bentuk kampanye anti sawit Greenpeace, terhadap salah satu perusahaan besar industri kelapa sawit Indonesia, yakni Sinar Mas, selama periode tahun 2008-2010. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif-analitis. Bentuk dari strategi gerakan ini adalah pemilihan target kampanye, menjadi saksi langsung sebuah peristiwa, pembentukan jaringan lokal-nasional, dialog dan forum diskusi, penggunaan aksi langsung tanpa kekerasan, serta penciptaan tekanan pasar. ...... This research explains about Greenpeace anti-palm environmental movement. This movement intends to stop deforestation in Indonesia caused by oil palm plantation expansion. The movement manifested in the form of anti-palm oil campaigns of Greenpeace to one of palm oil big company, Sinar Mas, in 2008-2010. The research uses qualitative method with descriptive-analytic approach. The forms of strategy are: selection of campaign target, bearing witness, establishment of local and national network, dialogue and discussion forum, non-violent direct action, and market pressure.

Abstrak :
The collide betvveen engineering developers and environmental developers has been a dillema for a long time. Environmentalists protest on the developing of roads across forest area or conservation area due to their lack of respect on environmental aspects. Environment became the victims of concrete structures and asphalt construction cross along the line, consume the areas and green hills existed. Those actions cause new threats on the area; like erosion and landslide, while the preventive actions haven't done yet. Sad as it is, but it happen as a fact. Everyone did nothing but watching while it happen, but if we willing to be wiser as the actors of the development itself, this issue can be prevented before the development concept was proposed. Researches on environmental impact need to be done earlier so that the development concepts will refer to environmental and sustainable principles instead of environmental destruction concepts. "Natural and Engineering in Harmony" is something that we should establish , without having to give a higher value on one of them, but more on giving the ideal value to both. So that the harmony of nature and engineering can be accomplished and each aspect could give more positive values to the natural and sustainable development.
