Abstrak :
Bioethanol merupakan sumber energi alternatif bagi kehidupan manusia. Sumber energi baru sangat diperlukan mengingat ketersediaan bahan bakar fosil telah menipis keberadaannya dan banyak pengembangan dilakukan untuk menciptakan sumber energi baru. Indonesia adalah negara yang dikenal dengan kekayaan alam dan kesuburan tanahnya. Sangat besar peluang bioethanol yang bersumber dari nabati dikembangkan di Indonesia. Tanaman tebu merupakan salah satu tanaman yang berpotensial menghasilkan bioethanol. Tebu bisa tumbuh di berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Pemberdayaan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) perlu dilakukan secara optimal, dan berkesinambungan, sehingga mampu meningkatkan peran, dan potensi Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah dalam mewujudkan pertumbuhan ekonomi, pemerataan dan peningkatan pendapatan rakyat, penciptaan lapangan kerja, dan pengentasan kemiskinan. Melalui pengembangan Usaha Kecil Bioethanol, maka usaha kecil diharapkan mampu meningkatkan taraf hidup petani dan mengembalikan minat investasi di Indonesia, dan memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan bahan bakar dunia pada umumnya dan Indonesia pada khususnya. Faktor resiko menjadi faktor yang sangat berpengaruh saat terjadi dan berlangsungnya sebuah investasi. Optimalisasi biaya pengolahan molases dan bagas untuk menghasilkan fuel grade ethanol diperlukan oleh usaha kecil untuk meminimalkan resiko investasi yang akan dijalankan. Engineering Economics, Risk Analysis, Integer Linear Programming, dan Simulasi Monte Carlo adalah metode-metode yang digunakan dalam menganalisa dan mencegah terjadinya kerugian pada sebuah investasi.
Bioethanol is an alternative energy source for human life. New energy sources are needed considering the availability of fossil fuels has depleted of its existence and many development undertaken to create new sources of energy. Indonesia is a country known for its natural richness and fertility of the soil. Enormous opportunities bioethanol sourced from vegetable oils was developed in Indonesia. Sugar cane crop is one plant that can potentially produce bioethanol. Sugarcane can be grown in various regions in Indonesia. Empowerment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) need to be optimal, and continuous, so as to enhance the role and potential of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in achieving economic growth, equity and increase people's income, job creation, and poverty. Through the development of Small Scale Bioethanol, then small business is expected to improve farmers' living standards and restore the interest in investing in Indonesia, and contributing significantly to the fuel needs of the world in general and Indonesia in particular. Risk factor becomes a very influential factor when going on and continuing an investment. Cost optimization of processing molasses and bagasse to produce fuel grade ethanol required by the small business to minimize investment risk to be run. Engineering Economics, Risk Analysis, Integer Linear Programming, and Monte Carlo Simulation are methods used in analyzing and preventing the loss on an investment.
