"ABSTRAKArtikel ini membahas mengenai reproduksi kesenjangan sosial di institusi pendidikan dengan menggunakan kerangka pemikiran Pierre Bourdieu. Dari studi-studi sebelumnya, reproduksi kesenjangan sosial di ranah pendidikan mengakibatkan adanya klasifikasi kelas sosial atas kepemilikan modal budaya pengetahuan dan gaya hidup . Dalam artikel ini, penulis ingin menelaah reproduksi kesenjangan sosial yang tidak hanya terlihat pada kepemilikan modal budaya, tetapi juga pada kepemilikan modal sosial dan simbolik. Argumentasi tulisan ini adalah reproduksi kesenjangan sosial terjadi ketika kelas atas, dengan habitus dan modal dominan yang dimilikinya, akan mudah terakumulasi dalam mendapatkan modal budaya, sosial, simbolik dibandingkan kelas bawah. Fokus artikel ini adalah melihat reproduksi kesenjangan sosial di jenjang perguruan tinggi karena penulis memiliki asumsi bahwa semakin tinggi jenjang pendidikan, maka semakin terlihat bentuk reproduksi kesenjangan sosialnya. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, artikel ini berusaha mendeskripsikan pemaknaan umum dari sejumlah informan, yaitu mahasiswa FISIP UI, terhadap berbagai pengalaman hidup mereka terkait dengan fenomena atau konsep reproduksi kesenjangan sosial.

ABSTRACTThis article discusses the reproduction of social inequalities in educational institutions using the framework of Pierre Bourdieu. From previous studies, the reproduction of social inequalities in the realm of education led to the classification of social classes over the ownership of cultural capital knowledge and lifestyle . In this article, the authors wish to examine the reproduction of social inequalities not only seen in the ownership of cultural capital, but also on the ownership of social and symbolic capital. The argument of this paper is that reproduction of social inequality occurs when the upper classes, with their dominant habitus and capital, will easily accumulate in obtaining cultural, social, symbolic capital rather than the lower classes. The focus of this article is to look at the reproduction of social gaps in college because the author has the assumption that the higher the level of education, the more visible the form of reproduction of social inequality. Using qualitative methods, this article attempts to describe the general meaning of some informants, FISIP UI students, to their various life experiences related to the phenomenon or concept of reproduction of social inequality."

"Skripsi ini membahas tentang proses pelaksanaan program pendidikan paket C pada Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) Bina Insan Mandiri Depok. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan program pendidikan paket C dan untuk mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor kesuksesan dan hambatan dalam proses pelaksanaan program pendidikan paket C di PKBM Bina Insan Mandiri. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah proses pelaksanaannya PKBM ini menggunakan Metode, Media, Materi pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan warga belajarnya. Adapun faktor kesuksesan dan hambatan adalah kemampuan lembaga dalam membangun kerjasama dengan berbagai instansi sedangkan hambatannya adalah faktor-faktor eksternal.

This thesis discuss about the implementation process of education program called with “Paket C” at Community Learning Center (CLC) Bina Insan Mandiri Depok. The research of this thesis use case study method with descrivtif research. The objective of the research are to describe the implementation process of education program called with “Paket C” and the success factors and obstacles in implementation the process of “Paket C’ education program at Community Learning Center (CLC) Bina Insan Mandiri Depok. The output of the research is we know that the implementation of “Paket C’ education program use learning method, material and media that appropriate with the needs of the students. The success factors are the abilities of the institution to build cooperation with many other institution while the obstacles is external factors."

"ABSTRAKStudi ini meneliti determinan dari kualitas pendidikan dalam SMA Negeri dan Swasta di Jakarta. Menggunakan dataset individu sekolah dan teknik regressi panel fixed effect, studi ini menggambarkan analisis terhadap karakteristik sekolah (rasio siswa guru, tingkat pendidikan guru, pengalaman guru, penerimaan sekolah, dan kondisi sekolah). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa rasio siswa guru memiliki peran penting dalam pencapaian siswa. Namun, tingkat pendidikan guru, pengalaman guru, penerimaan sekolah, dan kondisi sekolah (lingkungan, akreditasi, dan kondisi bangunan) tidak menjelaskan kualitas pendidikan pada suatu sekolah. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menyajikan analisis deskriptif yang menunjukkan ketimpangan dari nilai ujian dan rasio kelulusan ? ketidaklulusan berbasiskan koefisien Gini di tingkat provinsi.

ABSTRACTThis study investigates the determinants of school quality within public and private senior high school in Jakarta. Using individual school dataset and fixed effect panel regression technique, this paper provides an analysis of school characteristics (student-teacher ratio, teacher education level, teacher experience, school?s income, and school?s condition). This research concludes that student-teacher ratio plays an important role in student achievement. However, teacher education level, teacher experience, income of the school, and condition of the school (environment, accreditation, and building condition) do not describe the quality of education on a school. In addition, this research also provides a descriptive analysis showing inequality of exam score and graduated ? not graduated ratio based on Gini coefficient in province level."
