"Many efforts have been undertaken by the government and the privatesector to treat and rehabilitate drug addicts in this country. One of theseefforts is through the Inabah programme. Inabah Programme is aprogramme of treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts through spiritual means.This programme were implemented in 1985 and has gone through several phases ofimprovements. Pondok Inabah operated legally in terms of law and under theauspices of the Anti-Drug Association of Malaysia or Persatuan Mencegah DadahMalaysia ( PEMADAM). In addition to profiling Inabah programme participants; thisstudy aims to identify the implementation and effectiveness of drug treatment andrehabilitation program implemented at Pondok Inabah. This study used qualitativemethods, using some techniques to obtain data; review documents through therecords and reports from Inabah; observat ion and in-depth interviews withrespondents and key informants. The respondents are the participants of Inabah,and the key informant is the chairman of Inabah. The study found that theguidelines for the program implementations are implemented by all Pondok Inabahbranches. Profile of participants in the benefit of treatment and rehabilitation arealso identified. The findings also showed that the spiritual approach is one of thebest treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts, especially through st rategicprograms implemented by Inabah. The role of purification the soul of humandevelopment in a civilized society shows that the theory and practice recommendedby the Sufis is relevant with the situation of our society, especially in the treatmentand rehabilitation of drug addicts."

"Produk obat merupakan salah satu contoh hasil invensi yang dapat dipatenkan. Dalam ketentuan Undang-Undang Paten No. 13 Tahun 2016, selain ketentuan patentabilitas, suatu invensi atas produk atau proses yang diajukan pendaftaran patennya tidak boleh bertentangan dengan peraturan perundang-undangan, agama, ketertiban umum atau kesusilaan. Peraturan perundang-undangan ditafsirkan termasuk Undang-Undang Jaminan Produk Halal No.13 tahun 2014 yang mengatur tentang jaminan kehalalan suatu produk konsumsi.  Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisa lebih lanjut mengenai permasalahan hukum pemberian pelindungan paten atas invensi yang mengandung bahan non halal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode yuridis normatif. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan bahan hukum primer dan bahan hukum sekunder  melalui studi kepustakaan yang kemudian dikaji dengan pendekatan berbagai perundang-undangan guna memperoleh gambaran sinkronisasi dari semua bahan hukum serta didukung dengan wawancara untuk menguatkan analisis hukum.

A medicinal product is an example of a patentable invention. In the Patent Law No. 13 of 2016, in addition to the patentability provisions, an invention of a product or process for which a patent registration is filed must not be in contrary to the prevailing laws and regulations, religion, public order or decency. The interpretation of the prevailing laws and regulations includes the Halal Product Assurance Law No.13 of 2014 which provides the assurance of the halalness of a consumer product.  The purpose of the research is to understand and further analyze the legal issues with respect to the granting of patent rights upon inventions with non-halal ingredients. The method used in this research is the normative juridical method. The data analysis is carried out using primary legal materials and secondary legal materials through by means of literature study which are then reviewed with a variety of statutory approaches to obtain a synchronized description of all legal materials and supported by interviews to strengthen the legal analysis."
