......Prinsen Park is a historical area that witnessed the heyday of art and culture in the Mangga Besar area. However, at the moment, Mangga Besar is quite far from its heyday in terms of arts and culture. It is slowly being replaced with "Night Entertainment," which has directly changed the image of the Prinsen Park area. Therefore, Mangga Besar needs a space that can act as a reminder of its great artistic history and help the region start a new chapter to regain its past glory as the center of arts in Jakarta. In this development area, several buildings support creative activities: Prinsen Gallery, Prinsen Jazz, and Retro Cinema. The main goal of this cluster is to make the Prinsen Park area one of the Art & Cultural Hubs in Jakarta and restore its lost identity as the center of art and culture in the city. The construction of The Second Phase of Jakarta MRT will help connect Prinsen Park with other areas in Jakarta. The design of the Prinsen Gallery aims to create a historical reminder of how the Prinsen Park area was a hub for creative activists in Jakarta from the 1890s to the 1970s. This design intends to uplift the area by reminding people of its heyday and reviving its past identity. The goal is to transform this area into a creative hub in the Jakarta region, incorporating a future-oriented touch of technology.

Abstrak :
In this essay we present three case studies of Peru, Jamaica and Indonesia to illustrate the use of the concept of race in daily life in relation to labour, popular culture and beauty respectively. These cases demonstrate how the use of the concept of race changes in the transition from a colonial into a postcolonial setting, depending on the role of the state and nation building. In Peru, we see a clear continuation of racialized thinking; thinking and speaking in terms of ?race? is still the norm. In Jamaica we find a process of inversion: the concept of race is maintained as a frame of societal analysis, but blackness is revalidated and has become a prerequisite for national and cultural belonging. In Indonesia racialized categorizations have disappeared almost completely as "race" has become subjected to the development rhetoric, which just allows limited space for ethnic manifestations. However, discrimination on other rhetorical basis, such as non-citizenship, remains.

Abstrak :
Bushido is most often translated as the way of the warrior caste in Japan. Bushi refers to warriors in feudal Japan while do means several things including: the correct way, the path, or the road. Another interpretation of Bushido could be the way of preserving peace through the use of force. Bushido comes out of Buddhism, Confucianism, and Shintoism. The combination of these schools of thought and religions has formed the code of warrior values known as Bushido. A key to our understanding of how the concepts of Bushido fit into Japanese modern lives is to understand the historical and societal aspects of Bushido. Today, this meaning can be modernized to include minimizing violent conflict. The code of Bushido, the Samurai's code of honor, upholds loyalty, discipline, total dedication, honor and valor, and numerous examples of these elements can be witnessed today or in recent history.
