Abstrak :
Di dalam media massa masih banyak ditemukan iklan-iklan klenik yang menawarkan jasa santet untuk membuat orang lain celaka. Dengan zaman yang sudah modern ini sangat disayangkan masih terdapat masyarakat yang meyakini kemampuan dukun santet tersebut. Kepercayaan masyarakat inilah yang dimanfaatkan pihak tertentu untuk meraup keuntungan dengan melakukan tindak kejahatan. Fenomena tersebut hingga kini masih menjadi polemik berkepanjangan, serta menyebabkan keresahan sosial dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Pada tahun 2016, Tim Panitia Kerja RUU KUHP melakukan pembahasan RUU KUHP yang di dalamnya turut membahas pasal 295 yang mengatur pemidanaan pada pelaku santet. Di balik substansi dari pasal tersebut, terdapat serangkaian analisis yang berkaitan dengan kriminologi budaya dalam menjelaskan proses terjadinya kejahatan tersebut. Penulisan tugas karya akhir ini bertujuan menganalisis substansi Pasal 295 RUU KUHP perihal tindak kejahatan gaib dengan kajian kriminologi budaya serta konsep-konsep lainnya yang relevan dengan tema yang diangkat. ...... Abstrak :
Media massa memiliki pengaruh yang kuat dalam masyarakat, media dapat memberikan opini tersendiri terhadap suatu peristiwa terutama kejahatan, Vincent Sacco (1955) menjelaskan bahwa media dapat melakukan kontekstualisasi terhadap suatu peristiwa kejahatan melalui tiga aspek utama diantaranya; Collecting, Sorting, dan Contextualization. Ketiga aspek tersebut berusaha untuk menjelaskan proses kontekstualisasi berupa frame terhadap peristiwa yang ingin diangkat oleh media. Salah satu contoh kasus yang memiliki unsur media framing adalah kasus pembunuhan Mirna Wayan Salihin dengan menggunakan sianida dalam kopi, dengan tertuduh Jessica Kumala Wongso. Beberapa penelitian sebidang menjelaskan bahwa dalam perjalanan kasus ini terdapat framing yang dilakukan oleh media terhadap Jessica. Dalam mengidentifikasi frame-frame tersebut tercipta perangkat analisis frame salah satunya adalah model Zhongdang Pan dan Gerald M. Kosicki. Pan dan Kosicki menggunakan perangkat ini untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana realitas dari suatu isu permasalahan sosial dikonstruksi oleh media. Hasil dari kajian ini ingin memperlihatkan bahwa proses pembuatan berita oleh media (opini media) terhadap suatu peristiwa kejahatan dapat mengonstruksi persepsi masyarakat terhadap kasus tersebut, yang dapat berujung pada munculnya praktik trial by the press ......Mass media has a strong influence in society, the media can provide its own opinion on an event especially crime, Vincent Sacco (1955) explained that the media can contextualize a crime through three main aspects including; Collecting, Sorting, and Contextualization. These three aspects attempt to explain the contextualization process in the form of a frame for the events the media wants to raise. One example of a case that has elements of media framing is the murder case of Mirna Wayan Salihin using cyanide in coffee, with the accused Jessica Kumala Wongso. Several studies in one level explained that in the course of this case, there was a framing made by the media against Jessica. In identifying the frames, a frame analysis tool was created, one of which is the Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki model. Pan and Kosicki use this tool to identify how the reality of a social problem issue is constructed by the media. The results of this study want to show that the process of making news by the media (media opinion) on a crime can construct public perceptions of the case, which can lead to the emergence of trial by the press practice

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah moral credential dapat mempengaruhi reaksi sosial non-formal, terutama sikap sanksi masyarakat. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya menunjukan individu atau kelompok yang memiliki moral credential yang kuat cenderung mendapatkan tanggapan bersifat toleran dari masyarakat Penelitian ini melakukan hal yang sama, menggunakan Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) sebagai figur yang memiliki moral credential dan telah melakukan pelanggaran berupa gratifikasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan population-based survey experiment (P-BSE), melibatkan 432 partisipan berumur 18 hingga 45 tahun untuk membandingkan kondisi moral credential v. kondisi non-moral credential dan kondisi moral credential serta moral stake v. kondisi non-moral credential serta moral stake. Hasil analisis temuan data menyatakan moral credential tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap reaksi sosial non-formal dalam konteks kasus kejahatan gratifikasi oleh PNS. ...... The purpose of this study is to see the effect of moral credentials toward societal response, specifically punitive attitudes. Previous studies have shown individuals or groups with moral credentials tend to receive lenient societal response when they commit a transgression. This study is undertaking the same topic, focusing on State Civil Apparatus (PNS) as a figure possessing moral credentials and has commited transgression in the form of gratification. This study uses population-based survey experiment (P-BSE), and involves 432 participants ages from 18 to 45 years to compare between moral credential condition v. non-moral credential condition and moral credential with moral stake v. non-moral credential with moral stake.Results of analysis shows moral credentials doesn’t have a significant impact on societal response in the context of gratification crimes of State’s Civil Apparatus.

Abstrak :
This book searches for answers to these questions in the nature of the city, particularly in the social interactions that take place in urban space distinctively guided by different land uses and people?s activities. In other words, the book deals with the urban fabric of crime and fear. The novelty of the book is to place safety and security issues on the urban scale by (1) showing links between urban structure, and crime and fear, (2) illustrating how different disciplines deal with urban vulnerability to (and fear of) crime (3) including concrete examples of issues and challenges found in European and North American cities, and, without being too extensive, also in cities of the Global South.
