Abstrak :
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh konsentrasi kepemilikan dan kepemilikan keluarga terhadap tingkat risiko spesifik perusahaan manufaktur di Indonesia. Peneliti menggunakan risiko idiosyncratic sebagai proksi dari tingkat risiko perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model GLS regression dengan data cross section dan time series tahunan dari tahun 2009-2012. Hasilnya menunjukkan perusahaan dengan konsentrasi kepemilikan berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan risiko idiosyncratic perusahaan. Selanjutnya kepemilikan keluarga juga memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan risiko idiosyncratic. Tidak hanya itu, ukuran perusahaan dan variable market to book value of asset juga terbukti berpengaruh terhadap risiko idiosyncratic ini dengan pengaruh negatif untuk SIZE dan positif untuk Tobin Q. ...... The purpose of the study is to determine whether there are significant effect of concentrated ownership and family ownership to the specific risk level of manufacturing companies in Indonesia. Researchers uses idiosyncratic risk as a proxy of the level of risk the company. This study uses the GLS regression models with cross section data and time series of annual 2009-2012. The results showed the company with concentrated ownership has a positive effect on the increase in idiosyncratic risk of the company. Furthermore, family ownersip also have a positive influence on the increase of idiosyncratic risk. The size of the company and variable market to book value of assets is also shown to affect the firm-specific risk with negative and positive sign respectively.
