"This book covers ALL aspects of projected capacitive touch sensors including basic principles, the physics of PCAP, capacitance measurements, touch sensor materials and construction, electrical noise, software drivers, and testing. It is targeted at working engineers who are implementing touch into their products as well as anyone else with an interest in how touch screens work.
- Offers readers the first book on the use of projected capacitive (PCAP) touch technology for touch screens;
- Explains not only how PCAP touch works, but also addresses the implementation details an engineer needs when incorporating PCAP into their product;
- Includes explanations of different cover lens materials, cover lens coatings, software drivers, touch testing, and many other areas of general knowledge that would be useful to a design engineer."

Efektivitas diukur berdasarkan waktu penyelesaian tiga tugas masukan; tugas pemilihan target, tugas drag and drop, dan tugas operasi trackbar.

In this study, ergonomics analysis conducted on the effectiveness of using pointing devices. Measurements were performed with simulated computer basic input tasks. Effectiveness is measured based on the completion time of three input tasks; target selection task, drag and drop, and trackbar operation task.
Focus of the research is the use of touch panel as the latest among pointing devices with the best intuitive operation function. Mouse and trackpad are also used as the comparator in this study. Ten users included in this study as subjects to use all three pointing devices on three working positions; sitting working position with adequate work space, sitting working position with limited work space, and standing working position.
The results showed that the mouse has better effectiveness than the touch panel and trackpad. The results of the questionnaire assessment by the subjects also showed that the working positions significantly influence the ease of use of the touch panel. Some conclusions and suggestions for further research are also obtained in this paper.
