This brief reports on the interplay of an amino-acid mutation towards substrate which could lead to enhanced effects on mutant. These effects need to be given consideration in the engineering processes of protein stability and further exploration of such learning are required to provide novel indication for selection of an enzymes. There are very few reports showing such stable, energy efficient model towards improved protein function prediction screening in-silico structure based mutagenesis of xylanases from Thermomyces lanuginosus

This book focuses on the mechanobiological principles in tissue engineering with a particular emphasis on the multiscale aspects of the translation of mechanical forces from bioreactors down to the cellular level. The book contributes to a better understanding of the design and use of bioreactors for tissue engineering and the use of mechanical loading to optimize in vitro cell culture conditions. It covers experimental and computational approaches and the combination of both to show the benefits that computational modelling can bring to experimentalists when studying in vitro cell culture within a scaffold. With topics from multidisciplinary fields of the life sciences, medicine, and engineering, this work provides a novel approach to the use of engineering tools for the optimization of biological processes and its application to regenerative medicine. The volume is a valuable resource for researchers and graduate students studying mechanobiology and tissue engineering. For undergraduate students it also provides deep insight into tissue engineering and its use in the design of bioreactors. The book is supplemented with extensive references for all chapters to help the reader to progress through the study of each topic.

Thoroughly revised and updated, Exploring Bioinformatics: A Project-Based Approach, Second Edition is intended for an introductory course in bioinformatics at the undergraduate level. Through hands-on projects, students are introduced to current biological problems and then explore and develop bioinformatic solutions to these issues. Each chapter presents a key problem, provides basic biological concepts, introduces computational techniques to address the problem, and guides students through the use of existing web-based tools and software solutions. This progression prepares students to tackle the On-Your-Own Project, where they develop their own software solutions. Topics such as antibiotic resistance, genetic disease, and genome sequencing provide context and relevance to capture student interest. With a focus on developing students' problem-solving skills, the Second Edition of Exploring Bioinformatics: A Project-Based Approach is a contemporary and comprehensive introduction to this rapidly growing field. New to the thoroughly updated Second Edition: Offers a flexible approach to understanding key bioinformatics algorithms with exercises that can be used with or without programming. For programming courses, pseudocode allows students to implement algorithms in any desired programming language. Includes more substantive web-based projects for a more comprehensive, hands-on introduction to bioinformatics in non-programming courses. Contains updated material reflecting changes in how bioinformatics is used: next-generation sequencing, metagenomic analysis, statistical methods, etc. Contains more instructive and relevant case studies as well as more cohesive connections between the case studies and the exercises.
