Abstrak :
Indonesia sebagai negara berkembang dengan jumlah penduduk dan Iuas wilayah yang besar, membutuhkan sarana dan prasarana telekomunikasi yang bisa menjangkau seluruh wilayahnya. Teknologi yang dibutuhkan bukan hanya teknologi yang dapat dipakai secara bersama-sama tetapi biaya investasinya juga harus murah. Tujuannya adalah untuk mendapatkan tarif jasa telekomunikasi yang terjangkau oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Power-line Communications (PLC) dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai salah satu alternatif, karena teknologi telekomunikasi ini tidak membutuhkan jaringan akses yang baru tetapi hanya memanfaatkan jaringan distribusi tenaga listrik sebagai penggantinya. Salah satu negara yang telah mengimplementasikannya adalah Jerman dan PT. Indonesia Coronets Plus merencanakan implementasi teknologi ini di Indonesia. Dalam bisnis, sebelum suatu kegiatan bisnis dijalankan, umumnya dilakukan studi kelayakan bisnis. Untuk implementasi teknologi PLC di Indonesia secara bisnis akan dilakukan studi kelayakan ini. Pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah studi kelayakan bisnis secara umum dan analisa investasi teknologi. Dengan studi kelayakan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa investasi dan bisnis PLC di Indonesia layak untuk dilakukan. Kelayakan bisnis dioperasionalkan secara bertahap, untuk jangka pendeknya adalah Internet dan untuk jangka panjangnya adalah telephony. ......Indonesia as a developing country with large area and density needs a proper technology that can be implemened in all place. The technology should be with low investment, because the main purpose is giving a telecommunicatios service with a competitive tariff. Powerline Communications (PLC) is one of the alternative technology, because the technology does not need to build a new media access infrastructure, but it's using power grid as media access. German is one of the country that have been implemented PLC for broadband internet access, and in Indonesia, PT. Indonesia Comnets Plus plan to implement this technology. Generally, before running the business we have to analyze whether PLC is suitable to be implemented in Indonesia. This paper will analyze the technology and investment of PLC if implemented in Indonesia. The result of analysis, PLC can be implemented in Indonesia step by step, with short term for broadband internet access and long term for telephony.

Abstrak :
Perkembangan mobile teknologi yang semakin terintegrasi berdampak besar pada proses belajar-mengajar. Keadaan ini memungkinkan ekstensifikasi proses belajar-mengajar dari dalam ruangan ke keluar ruangan kelas, baik secara real maupun virtual sesuai dengan situasi dan keinginan pribadi pelakunya serta dapat dilakukan setiap saat. Adanya lingkungan yang mampu mendukung situasi tersebut dengan menawarkan layanan-layanan yang dapat mendukung sistem mobile learning mutlak diperlukan. Pada skripsi ini dibangun sebuah sistem terintegrasi yang memberikan layanan-layanan kepada end-user sehingga konsep mobile learning sangat mengkin untuk diterapkan dikehidupan sehari-hari. Sistem ini dinamakan SMiLE. SMiLE dibangun berdasarkan arsitektur komponen multi-tier yang berinterkasi satu sama lain secara independen. MIDlet dan klien web service berjalan pada sisi klien; servlet, JSP, Web service dan EJB berjalan pada sisi server serta Derby database sebagai sistem back-end. Hasil uji coba terhadap SMiLE, menunjukkan kemampuan SMiLE dalam melakukan proses multithread hingga thread yang aktif pada waktu yang bersamaan mencapai 54 thread. Adanya garbage collector, membuat penggunaan memori pada SMiLE menjadi lebih efisien, hanya menggunakan 45,9 Megabyte dari 54,9 Megabyte memori yang disediakan sistem sehingga tak pernah terjadi keurangan memori (leak). ......The development of mobile tecnology that more integrated has big effected to learning process. This situation allow exstensification of learning process from inside to outside classroom, whether by real or virtual depend on the situation and individual interest, also can be done anytime. The environment that could support the situation by offering services which could support mobile learning system was absolutely needed. In this final project is built an integrated system which could give services to end user, hence the mobile learning concept is very possible to be implemented in daily life. The system is named SMiLE. SMiLE is built based on multi-tier component architecture that could interact from one to the other independently. MIDlet and web service client operated on client side; servlet JSP, Web service and EJB operated on server side also Derby database as back-end system. The experiment results showed that SMiLE ability in doing multithread process until the active thread in the same time reach 54 threads. By having garbage collector, make the memory usage on SMiLE become more efficient, that is only use 45.8 Megabyte from 54.9 Megabyte memory that is available on system, hence the system never lack of memory (leak of memory).

Abstrak :
This book investigates the susceptibility of intrinsic physically unclonable function (PUF) implementations on reconfigurable hardware to optical semi-invasive attacks from the chip backside. It explores different classes of optical attacks, particularly photonic emission analysis, laser fault injection, and optical contactless probing. By applying these techniques, the book demonstrates that the secrets generated by a PUF can be predicted, manipulated or directly probed without affecting the behavior of the PUF. It subsequently discusses the cost and feasibility of launching such attacks against the very latest hardware technologies in a real scenario. The author discusses why PUFs are not tamper-evident in their current configuration, and therefore, PUFs alone cannot raise the security level of key storage. The author then reviews the potential and already implemented countermeasures, which can remedy PUFs’ security-related shortcomings and make them resistant to optical side-channel and optical fault attacks. Lastly, by making selected modifications to the functionality of an existing PUF architecture, the book presents a prototype tamper-evident sensor for detecting optical contactless probing attempts.

Abstrak :
This textbook is intended for a course in electromagnetism for upper undergraduate and graduate students. The main concepts and laws of classical macroscopic electrodynamics and initial information about generalized laws of modern electromagnetics are discussed, explaining some paradoxes of the modern theory. The reader then gets acquainted with electrodynamics methods of field analysis on the basis of wave equation solution. Emission physics are considered using an example of the Huygens-Fresnel-Kirchhoff canonic principle. The representation about strict electrodynamics task statement on the base of Maxwell equations, boundary conditions, emission conditions and the condition on the edge is given. Different classes of approximate boundary conditions are presented, which essentially simplify understanding of process physics. The canonic Fresnel functions are given and their generalization on the case of anisotropic impedance. The free waves in closed waveguides and in strip-slotted and edge-dielectric transmission lines are described. A large number of Mathcad programs for illustration of field patterns and its properties in different guiding structures are provided. The material is organized for self-study as well as classroom use.
