"[ABSTRAK
Komedi situasi (sitcom) merupakan salah satu bentuk tayangan di televisi yang berusaha
menampilkan potret realita sosial. Meskipun berakar dari fakta dan kondisi masyarakat,
komedi situasi juga merekonstruksi paradigma audiens dengan representasi yang
disuguhkan dalam bentuk audio sekaligus visual.
Tetangga Masa Gitu sebagai sebuah sitcom baru berusaha menampilkan sosok perempuan
Indonesia yang baru dan berbeda dengan stereotipe konvensional. Tetapi di saat yang sama,
terdapat bagian dari identitas lama yang masih dipertahankan. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya
sebuah ideologi yang mendasari representasi tersebut dan berusaha dikukuhkan. Melalui
tesis ini, penulis melihat sebuah redefinisi yang semu dari sosok perempuan yang digagas
dalam episode-episode sitcom ini.
Teori Representasi digunakan untuk meninjau dialog-dialog dan cuplikan adegan dalam
tayangan Tetangga Masa Gitu dan menunjukkan proses redefinisi identitas perempuan.
Tesis ini mencoba memberikan pemahaman akan representasi dalam televisi yang
meskipun berubah, akan selalu terhubung dengan akar identitas sebuah masyarakat.

ABSTRACT
Situation comedy (Sitcom) is one kind of television show presenting snapshots of a society.
Eventhough it is based on fact and social conditions, a sitcom also reshapes its audiences?
paradigm through audio & visual representations showed in it.
As a new sitcom, Tetangga Masa Gitu is trying to present a new model of Indonesian
women, which differs from the conventional stereotypes. However, there are parts of the
old identity that emerge in the sitcom. It shows that there is this one form of ideology
constructing the way this sitcom represents women. In this research, the aim is to see the
false redefinition on women narrated in episodes of this sitcom.
Theory of representation is used to analyze dialogues and screenshots, and identify the
process of redefining women?s identity. This thesis attempt to provide understanding upon
representations in television which tends to change, yet is always connected to its root in

Artikel ini menjabarkan unsur-unsur comedia dell?arte yang terkandung dalam drama berjudul Le Médecin malgré lui karya Molière. Moliére adalah seorang dramawan asal Prancis yang dianggap sebagai salah satu ahli genre komedi. Beberapa karya Molière seperti yang diangkat dalam topik ini kental dengan pengaruh comedia dell?arte. Tulisan ini akan berfokus dalam analisis unsur-unsur comedia dell?arte yang terdapat pada Le Médecin malgré lui melalui metode paratif yang mencakup analisis alur, tokoh, dan tema. Dari hasil analisis tersebut dapat ditemukan bahwa terdapat beberapa persamaan antara comedia dell?arte dengan drama Le Médecin malgré lui pada bagian tema dan alur. "Komedi merupakan pilihan hiburan populer yang memiliki banyak penggemar. Selain menghibur, komedi juga rentan dengan masalah ketersinggungan. Komedi sebagai seni pertunjukan yang objeknya bersifat universal sering kali membawakan topik-topik yang sensitif. Teori humor superior menjelaskan bahwa tawa muncul dari rasa superior terhadap objek komedi, sehingga objek komedi dipandang rendah. Namun komedian sering kali berlindung dengan pembenaran teori kognitifif komedi yang menyatakan bahwa dibutuhkan kesadaran bahwa komedi adalah pertunjukan hiburan, sehingga penampilan komedi hanya dapat dilihat dalam konteks tujuannya menghibur. Penelitian ini berusaha menjelaskan hubungan antara komedi sebagai hiburan dan validitas ketersinggungan sebagai respons terhadap komedi. Penelitian ini juga berusaha menjelaskan tanggung jawab komedian terhadap komedinya. Dari hasil analisis, ditemukan bahwa komedian bebas menampilkan komedi tentang apapun, jika hanya jika, komedian tersebut mampu bertanggung jawab terhadap konsekuensi yang disebabkan komedinya. Komedian juga secara moral harus terbuka terhadap tanggapan yang diberikan terhadap komedinya.

Comedy is a popular entertainment that has a large fans. Besides being entertaining, comedy is also prone to the problem of offense. Comedy as a performing art with universal object often presents sensitive topics. The theory of superior humor explains that laughter arises from a sense of superiority of the object of comedy, so that the object of comedy is looked inferior. However, comedians often take refuge in the justification of the cognitive theory of comedy which states that it takes awareness that comedy is an entertainment, so that comedy performances can only be seen in the context of its purpose to entertain. This research trying to explain the relationship between comedy as entertainment and the validity of offending as a response to comedy. This research also tries to explain the comedian's responsibility towards his comedy. From the results of the analysis, it was found that comedians are free to present comedy about anything, as long as, the comedian is able to take responsibility for the consequences caused by his comedy. Comedians must also be morally open to the responses given to their comedies."

"Penelitian ini menjelaskan pengetahuan bersama sebagai pembangun humor pada Stand Up Comedy (SUC) yang dilakukan oleh komika Deddy Gigis, Sega, dan Wawan Saktiawan. Pemilihan topik penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ditemukannya efek lucu yang disebabkan oleh aspek di luar bahasa. Pada penelitian sebelumnya, efek lucu dipengaruhi oleh gaya bahasa. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran pengetahuan bersama pada SUC. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang digunakan berupa ujaran yang menghasilkan efek lucu karena pengetahuan bersama dengan sumber data lisan pada pertunjukkan Stand Up Comedy (SUC) oleh Deddy Gigis, Sega, dan Wawan Saktiawan yang tayang di jaringan televisi bernama JTV, tetapi diunggah di YouTube dengan akun bernama Khatulistiwa. Analisis data menggunakan teori tindak ilokusi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa humor dengan menghadirkan pengetahuan bersama dibangun dengan cara 1) menghadirkan konteks lain pada pengetahuan bersama, 2) menyelewengkan pengetahuan bersama, dan 3) mengomentari pengetahuan bersama. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam menyampaikan humor Stand Up Comedy (SUC), daya ilokusi tidak hanya terealisasi oleh wacana atau kata-kata, tetapi juga dengan menghadirkan pengetahuan bersama bersamaan dengan wacana yang disampaikan.

This research discusses background knowledge as a builder of humor in Stand-Up Comedy (SUC) performed by comedians Deddy Gigis, Sega, and Wawan Saktiawan. The selection of this research topic is motivated by the discovery of humorous effects caused by aspects beyond language. In previous studies, humorous effects were influenced by language style. Therefore, this research aims to explain the role of background knowledge in SUC. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The data used consists of utterances that produce humorous effects due to background knowledge, sourced from verbal performances in Stand-Up Comedy (SUC) shows by Deddy Gigis, Sega, and Wawan Saktiawan, aired on the television network JTV, but uploaded on YouTube under the account named Khatulistiwa. Data analysis uses the theory of illocutionary acts. This research shows that humor involving background knowledge is built by 1) presenting another context to the background knowledge, 2) distorting the background knowledge, and 3) commenting on the background knowledge. This research concludes that in delivering Stand-Up Comedy (SUC) humor, illocutionary force is realized through discourse or words and by presenting background knowledge alongside the delivered discourse.
