Abstrak :
Meskipun banyak argumentasi yang menyatakan bahwa masih terlalu awal untuk menyimpulkan bahwa China bersama dengan BRICS mampu untuk menjadi kekuatan baru yang menandingi Amerika Serikat, akan tetapi tidak bisa dipungkiri bahwa kekuatan yang dimiliki oleh China bersama dengan kerjasama tersebut merupakan suatu kekuatan yang harus diperhitungkan dengan baik. Selama beberapa tahun terakhir ini, semenjak akronim BRICS mengukuhkan diri dalam suatu ikatan kelompok kerjasama politik formal, kelompok kerjasama tersebut memperlihatkan konsistensi dalam menjalankan komitmennya. Sejumlah rencana kerja jangka panjang tercatat dilakukan oleh BRICS secara multilateral dan lebih jauh lagi, terdapat juga kerjasama antar negara anggota BRICS secara bilateral. Bersama dengan BRICS, muncul suatu kekuatan kerjasama kelompok baru yang memberikan peluang ekonomi bagi China, yang saat ini menjadi penanding terutama kekuatan Amerika Serikat. China sendiri juga mendapatkan keuntungan dari kerjasama BRICS karena memberikan stabilisasi bagi hubungan internasionalnya, pembangunan image dengan membantu negara berkembang lainnya, termasuk memperkuat identitas sebagai negara berkembang dan tidak boleh dilupakan kekuatan secara ekonomi dan posisi politik. Tulisan ini merupakan pemetaan geopolitik terhadap kerjasama multilateral yang dilakukan China bersama dengan BRICS dan implikasi dari hal tersebut terhadap Amerika Serikat yang menjadi kekuatan terbesar dalam hirarki masyarakat internasional. ......Although many arguments stating that it was too early to conclude that China along with the BRICS able to become a new force rivaling the United States, but the cooperation must be considered as power to be reckon. Over the last few years, since the acronym BRICS strenghten the cooperation to a more formal political group, the cooperation has show a consistency in its commitment. A number of long-term working plan notably conducted by BRICS multilaterally and furthermore, there is also cooperation among BRICS states member on a bilateral basis. BRICS is also provides economic purposes opportunities for China, which currently United States number one competitor. For China, BRICS become stabilization for China’s international relations environment, giving good image by helping other developing countries, strengthening of identity as a developing country in the economic strength and political position. This thesis is a geopolitical mapping of the multilateral cooperation of China together with the BRICS and the implications of that for the United States became the greatest power in the hierarchy of the international community.

Abstrak :
Showcasing the substantive and multi-faceted Singapore-China relationship, this book examines the political, economic, socio-cultural, people-to-people and even military exchanges between the two countries. It also highlights flagship projects and other key private sector-led projects that have become hallmarks of bilateral cooperation. The book argues that the current level of cooperation is built on the earlier foundation laid by Lee Kuan Yew and Deng Xiaoping. In a way, the bilateral relationship is a unique one. For one, Deng Xiaoping had singled out Singapore as a model for China's reforms and China today continues to find Singapore's experience relevant. Singapore is also learning from China in the process. The two countries also have a number of bilateral institutional mechanisms that have become more important in reviewing existing cooperation and identifying new ways of working together. Rather than simply provide an overview of bilateral relations, the book highlights the unique or distinguishing features of the Singapore-China relationship in four main areas, which are revealed in the book
