Abstrak :
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini membahas tentang kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa strata satu (S1) Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Indonesia Banking School (STIE IBS) dalam menyelesaikan skripsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara apa saja yang digunakan mahasiswa dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasinya, sumber apa saja yang digunakan, serta jenis media informasi apa yang digunakan oleh mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survai. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa strata satu (S1) jurusan Akuntansi dan Manajamen STIE IBS. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasinya, mahasiswa strata satu (S1) STIE IBS melakukan diskusi dengan orang lain (dosen, teman kuliah, narasumber penelitian) dan mengakses internet. Sedangkan, buku teks dan e-journal menjadi sumber informasi yang paling banyak digunakan mahasiswa dan di lain sisi jenis media informasi tercetak menjadi jenis media informasi yang paling banyak digunakan oleh mahasiswa.

ABSTRACT This research analyzes the information needs of STIE IBS?s undergraduate students in the process of completing their thesis. The purpose of this research is to know the students? ways in fulfilling their information needs, the sources, and the media they use. This is a quantitative research using survey methodology. The respondents are undergraduate students at STIE IBS majoring in accounting and management. The result of the research shows that, in fulfilling their information needs, undergraduate students at STIE IBS discuss with others, such as lecturers, classmates, and other resource persons, and accessing the internet. However, the research found out that textbooks and e-journals are the most used information sources by the students, as well as printed information media.
