Abstrak :
Penelitian ini merupakan studi yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecenderungan mahasiswa FISIP UI untuk memiliki BlackBerry. Penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang pengaruh sikap, norma subjektif, perceived behavioral control terhadap intensi untuk memiliki BlackBerry. Keempat variabel merupakan operasionalisasi dari Theory of Planned Behavior. Pendekatan dari penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data survei terhadap 80 responden. Penilitian ini dilakukan di FISIP UI dengan teknik penarikan sampel random sampling. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa FISIP UI yang belum memiliki BlackBerry memiliki kecenderungan yang rendah untuk memiliki BlackBerry karena sikap yang negatif tentang BlackBerry, norma subjektif yang negatif terhadap BlackBerry dan kontrol yang rendah untuk memiliki BlackBerry. Terdapat perbedaan hubungan antar variabel berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Pada responden perempuan, pandangan kelompok referen yang termasuk kedalam norma subjektif lebih mempengaruhi intensinya dibandingkan responden laki-laki. ......This research aimed to find out about students trends to own a BlackBerry. This research explains relations between attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control toward intention to own a BlackBerry. All four variables were operationalized from Theory of Planned Behavior. This research uses quantitative approach with survey data collection method to 80 respondents. This research takes place in FISIP UI with random sampling technique. The research findings show that students of FISIP UI which not yet own a BlackBerry, have low intentions to own a BlackBerry because students have negative attitudes about BlackBerry, negative subjective norms toward BlackBerry and low control to own a BlackBerry. There are variable relation differences based on gender. In girl respondents case, norm subjective that includes reference group belief more have more affect to girls than boys.
