"ABSTRAK
Pada era modern ini, banyak perangkat lunak yang mendukung pembelajaran khususnya dibidang teknik dalam melakukan simulasi sebelum diimplementasikan pada keadaan sebenarnya dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui parameter-parameter yang dibutuhkan agar suatu alat agar bisa bekerja dengan baik, stabil tanpa harus melakukan percobaan di medan sebenarnya dengan resiko yang tinggi. CarSim , sebuah perangkat lunak yang berfokus pada uji dan analisa dinamika kendaraan, dalam skripsi ini akan dicoba untuk membuat profil jalan dengan tujuan untuk dapat dijadikan simulator uji dinamikan kendaraan di lingkungan kampus Universitas Indonesia. Jalan yang akan dibangun dibuat mirip dengan aslinya mulai dari jalur, ketinggian, serta bangunan disekitarnya agar terlihat realistis. Minimnya sumber acuan untuk memahami perangkat lunak CarSim di internet tidak membuat hal ini menjadi tidak mungkin. Dengan pemahaman dasar, percobaan panjang secara mandiri serta membaca berbagai sumber literatur, perancangan simulator jalan Universitas Indonesia berhasil dibangun. Simulator ini juga masih memiliki kemungkinan besar untuk dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut kedepannya.

ABSTRACT
In this modern era, many softwares are provided to support learning process especially in the field of engineering in doing a simulation before a tool can be implemented in the actual situation with the aim to know the parameters needed without having to conduct experiments in the real field with high risks. CarSim , a software that focuses on vehicle dynamics tests and analysis, in this paper will be tried to create a road profile with the aim to become a simulator to analyze a vehicle dynamics behavior in University of Indonesia. The path that is about to built is made as close as possible to its real form, whether from its path, elevation, and buildings to make it look realistic. The lack of a reference source in understanding CarSim on the internet does not make this experiments impossible. With a basic understanding, a long independent research and reading literatures, University of Indonesia simulator has successfully been built. This simulator also still has a great possibility to be developed in the future. "

"Vehicle dynamics and control provides a comprehensive coverage of vehicle control systems and the dynamic models used in the development of these control systems. The control system applications covered in the book include cruise control, adaptive cruise control, ABS, automated lane keeping, automated highway systems, yaw stability control, engine control, passive, active and semi-active suspensions, tire-road friction coefficient estimation, rollover prevention, and hybrid electric vehicles. In developing the dynamic model for each application, an effort is made to both keep the model simple enough for control system design but at the same time rich enough to capture the essential features of the dynamics. A special effort has been made to explain the several different tire models commonly used in literature and to interpret them physically.
In the second edition of the book, chapters on roll dynamics, rollover prevention and hybrid electric vehicles have been added, and the chapter on electronic stability control has been enhanced."
