Abstrak :
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Modeling Decisions for Artificial Intelligence, MDAI 2012, held in Girona, Catalonia, Spain, in November 2012. The 32 revised full papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 49 submissions and are presented with 4 plenary talks. The papers are organized in topical sections on aggregation operators, integrals, data privacy and security, reasoning, applications, and clustering and similarity.

Pada beberapa tahun terakhir, sistem pengenalan wajah telah marak digunakan dalam berbagai aspek sebagai wujud dari kemajuan teknologi. Berbagai penelitian dilakukan untuk terus memperbaiki akurasi dari pengenalan wajah. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode klasifikasi Learning Vector Quantization dan Fuzzy Kernel Learning Vector Quantization. Data yang digunakan adalah Labeled Face in The Wild-a LFW-a. Database ini tidak memiliki batasan seperti latar belakang, ekspresi, posisi, dan sebagainya. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba menggunakan database LFW-a, sistem pengenalan wajah dengan metode LVQ memiliki akurasi tertinggi 89,33 dan metode FKLVQ memiliki akurasi tertinggi 89,33 pula.

ABSTRACT
In recent years, face recognition is widely used in various aspects as a form of technology advancement. Various studies are conducted to keep improving the accuracy of face recognition. In this research, Learning Vector Quantization and Fuzzy Kernel Learning Vector Quantization are used as a method of classification. The data used in this research is Labeled Face in The Wild a LFW a. This database has no restrictions such as background, expression, position, and so on. Based on test results using LFW a database, face recognition using LVQ method has highest accuracy at 89,33 and FKLVQ method has highest accuracy at 89,33 as well.

Abstrak :
This book provides an integrated framework for natural and artificial cognition by highlighting the fundamental role played by the cognitive architecture in the dialectics with the surrounding environment and consequently in the definition of a particular meaningful world. This book is also about embodied and non-embodied artificial systems, cognitive architectures that are human constructs, meant to be able to populate the human world, capable of identifying different life contexts and replicating human patterns of behavior capable of acting according to human values and conventions, systems that perform tasks in a human-like way. By identifying the essential phenomena at the core of all forms of cognition, the book addresses the topic of design of artificial cognitive architectures in the domains of robotics and artificial life. Moving from mere bio-inspired design methodology it aims to open a pathway to semiotically determined design.
