"Jumlah penduduk yang terus tumbuh diikuti dengan kebutuhan baru. Salah satunya adalah kebutuhan lahan untuk tempat tinggal yang semakin lama menjadi berkurang. Isu mengenai keterbatasan ruang telah memicu munculnya inovasi berupa portabilitas pada yaitu arsitektur portable. Skripsi ini membahas mengenai portabilitas yang menyebabkan pembentukan ruang yang flesibel dan mobile pada arsitektur portable dan kaitannya dengan smart arhitecture. Metode penulisan skripsi ini adalah studi kasus dengan mengambil contoh-contoh pada arsitektur portable untuk dibahas ke-portabilitasannya dalam bentuk tahapan transformasi serta mobilitasnya. Kemudian dikaitkan dengan lingkungan serta manusia sebagai penggunanya. Dalam hal ini portabilitas dalam arsitektur yang smart berhubungan dengan transportable environment.
