"ABSTRACTThe LoRaWAN Technology opens new possibilities for gathering and analysis ofdistributed data. In the paper we concentrate on its maritime usability which was tested byus in the period from June to August 2018. Measurements of the LoRaWAN network coveragein the Bay of Gdansk area were carried out. Various conditions and places were tested. Theresearch was planned in such a way as to gradually increase the range and control the impact ofenvironmental factors. The results of the measurements confirm the wide application and a broadrange of the technology. Combined with cloud computing it leads to new kinds of services andapplications."

For this reason, it is very important to have some guidelines which can protect both the developer and the designer from commixing mistakes. The paper presents a list of suchguidelines based on the authors experience. The reader can treat the paper as a first step in the development of a service based on cloud computing that verifies the correctness of graphical data in urban visualizations."

"ABSTRACTA problem of analytical-numerical modeling of the plane wave propagation from anocean surface to the atmosphere is considered. We are interested in the thermosphere impactof tsunami waves. We suppose that the transport of energy and the momentum from loweratmosphere to thermosphere heights is due to acoustic waves.A set of expressions for the atmosphere variables (pressure, velocity, entropy) as a functionof the atmosphere parameters, time and height is derived and illustrated by plots. Thesurface water wave parameters, typical for tsunami also enter final expressions for the atmosphereand ionosphere variables."

"The paper presents a methodology which has led to improvement of the turbine stage performance in the regenerative steam extraction chamber area by introducing a ring which collects the leakage flow from the gaps over unshrouded rotor blade tips and directs it to the extraction chamber. A comparison is made between the results obtained for the initial design (without a ring) and the design with the ring mounted. The results obtained for the construction were calibrated using the data measured on a real turbine in a Polish power plant. "
