Abstrak :
Dalam aplikasi di bidang kelautan, bahan komposit sandwich harus mempunyai kulit dan inti yang memiliki ketahanan yang baik terhadap korosi dan kelembaban. Penetitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh arah serat dan ketebalan inti terhadap kekuatan tekan dan bending pada material komposit sandwich. Bahan kulit untuk komposit sandwich berupa komposit dari fiberglass dengan matriks polyester resin, untuk inti dari styrofoam, sedangkan untuk adhesive menggunakan bahan dasar epoxy. Arah serat kulit dibuat anyam 4 lapis, anyam-acak-anyam-acak, [0/90]s, [0/45/-45/90]. Ketebalan inti yang digunakan adalah 14 mm dan 28 mm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa spesimen dengan ketebalan inti 28 mm menghasilkan kekuatan tekan yang lebih tinggi dibanding spesimen dengan ketebalan inti 14 mm. Sedangkan, spesimen dengan ketebalan inti 14 mm menghasilkan kekuatan bending yang lebih tinggi dibanding spesimen dengan ketebalan inti 28 mm. Spesimen dengan arah serat anyam 4 lapis menghasilkan kekuatan tekan dan bending paling tinggi, diikuti anyam-acak-anyam-acak, [0/90]s dan terakhir [0/45/-45/90].

In marine application, sandwich composites should have high corrosive and moisture resistance. Polyester reinforced composite as sandwich skin's has been widely used in boat construction. Research has been conducted to investigate influence of fiber orientation and core thickness on the compressive and bending strength of foam cored sandwich composite. Glassfiber reinforced polyester composite used as skin for sandwich and styrofoam as core. The skin has lay-up four layers woven, four layers woven-random alternatively, [0/90]s, and [Q/45/-45/9Q]. The thickness of core were 14 mm and 28 mm. The results indicate that the thicker core has higher compressive strength than the thinner one. However for bending strength the thicker core is higher than the thinner. For skin, lay-up that has higher 0 fiber orientation indicates the highest in both of compressive and bending strength.

Because of their enthusiasm and the favorable market conditions, these MNCs get carried away and sometimes regulations are flouted. The absence of clear regulations leads to problems when government agencies find fault with MNCs products.

Heat traetment fluence to intergrannular corroson succeptibility of stainless stell type 316. Stainless steel was used in nuclear industry as cladding of Liquid Metal Fast Breeder Reactor (LMFBR), which operation temperature above 500oC. According to the theory, resistence of stainless steel type 316 is good enough, but in the high temperature tend to influence by intergranular corrosion.. The sensitization degree of stainless steel type 316 (SS 316) was calculated by potentiostat using potentiodynamic method, and was to observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM)....

Abstrak :
The study is to find out the major type of institutional investors who own the biggest fund in the capital market and to study their behaviors which can affect the market. There are three types of investors: intuitive investors, emotional investors, and rational investors. To analyze the main factor of decision making, the researcher used Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and spread questionnaires to several Indonesian fund managers. The result shows that most institutional investors are rational (55%), 45% are emotional and none of them are intuitive. The main factor influencing them to make an investment decision is the country’s economic conditions (25.12%), along with accounting information (liquidity, rentability, solvability, and quality of financial reports).
