"Rasisme merupakan salah satu masalah yang sempat terjadi dalam waktu yang lama di Prancis. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk memperlihatkan gambaran rasisme dalam film Agathe Clèry karya Étienne Chatiliez serta kemunculan anti-rasisme dalam film tersebut. Penelitian dianalisis menggunakan teori rasisme M.J. Maher dan teori pengkajian film Joseph M. Boggs dan Dennis W. Petrie. Rasisme pada tokoh utama dalam film didasari oleh dua sudut pandang yaitu, pelaku tindakan rasisme dan korban tindakan rasisme secara bersamaan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah kemunculan anti-rasisme yang disebabkan oleh efek rasisme dalam kehidupan sosial sehari-hari serta dunia pekerjaan.

Racism is one of the problems that had occurred for a long time in France. This study has the objective to present a picture of racism in the movie Agathe Clery by Étienne Chatiliez as well as the emergence of antiracism in the film. The study was analyzed using the racism theory of M.J. Maher and film analysis theory Joseph M. Boggs and Dennis W. Petrie. Racism on the main character in the film is based on two perspectives, as the doer of racism and also the victim of racism. The results obtained in this study is the emergence of antiracism caused by the effects of racism in social life and work."
