"Terjadinya perkembangan pemakaian internet secara cepat telah menyebabkan protokol IPv4 tidak dapat lagi menampung user yang ada. Untuk mengatasi masalah keterbatasan alamat pada IPv4, maka dibuatlah Internet Protocol versi baru (IPng atau IPv6). Namun untuk penerapannya masih diperlukan waktu dan metode transisi dari IPv4 ke IPv6 tanpa mengganggu jaringan IPv4. Contoh metode transisi yang dikenal adalah 6to4, 6over4, ISATAP, dan DSTM. Dalam skripsi ini akan diuji metode tunneling ISATAP dan 6to4. Untuk menguji performansi dari kedua metode tersebut dilakukan uji coba dengan menggunakan aplikasi video streaming. Sarana pengujian menggunakan jaringan test bed yang dibangun dari lima buah PC yang mengambil tempat di Lab Digital FT-UI. Dalam pengujian akan dianalisa beberapa parameter untuk mengetahui unjuk kerjanya, diantaranya throughput, jumlah packet loss dan latency. Pada pengujian akan dilakukan perbandingan kinerja dari konfigurasi IPv4 murni, IPv6 murni, dengan metode tunneling ISATAP dan 6to4. Dari hasil uji coba yang dilakukan didapatkan bahwa metode tunneling 6to4 dan ISATAP tidak mengurangi kemampuan jaringan dalam aplikasi video streaming. Dibandingkan dengan IPv4, metode tunneling ini mampu meningkatkan throughput sekitar 0.013% (6to4) dan 0.007% (ISATAP), serta dapat mengurangi packet loss sekitar 47.9% (6to4) dan 6.84% (ISATAP). Perbedaan latency yang terjadi hanya berbeda sekitar 0.73% (6to4) dan 0.045% (ISATAP) terhadap jaringan IPv4. Sementara itu, pada topologi IPv6 murni didapatkan hasil kinerja yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan menggunakan metode tunneling, dimana IPv6 mampu meningkatkan throughput sekitar 0.0723%, mengurangi packet loss sekitar 73.76%, dengan perbedaan latency sekitar 0.7% (dengan 6to4) dan 1.52% (dengan ISATAP)."
