ABSTRAK Film merupakan sebuah media yang memperlihatkan mentalitas masyarakat, sehingga seringkali menjadi penyampai aspirasi, salah satunya melalui konsep utopia. Arsitektur dan kota sebagai bagian dari mise-en-sc ne dalam film, menjadi salah satu cara untuk memberikan wujud fisik terhadap konsep utopis yang ingin direpresentasikan dalam film. Skripsi ini membahas seperti apa representasi utopia kota Jakarta yang digambarkan dalam film, serta perbandingan kota sebenarnya dengan kota dalam film. Pseudo-Jakarta dalam film ldquo;Supernova: Ksatria, Putri, Bintang Jatuh rdquo; menjadi studi kasus untuk melihat seperti apa representasi utopia Jakarta. Kemudian diketahui bahwa kota fiktif tersebut merepresentasikan Jakarta utopis yang serupa dengan visi dari kalangan tertentu mengenai pembangunan Jakarta sejak zaman pasca-kemerdekaan. Melalui sifat selektif dan parsial ditambah dengan unsur fisik dan non-fisik, film tersebut dapat membangun sebuah representasi kota yang utopis dalam satu narasi yang utuh.

ABSTRACT Film is a media that portrays the mentality of society, thus it often pictures utopian concept as a way to deliver aspirations. Architecture and the city, as a part of film rsquo s mise en sc ne, become one of the ways to provide a physical form to represent a utopian concept in the film. This thesis discusses about how utopian Jakarta representation pictured in the film, and about the comparison between the real city and the city that exists in the film. Pseudo Jakarta in ldquo Supernova Ksatria, Putri, Bintang Jatuh rdquo film is the case study chosen to see how the utopian Jakarta represented in the film. It was found that the said fictional city represents utopian Jakarta which holds the same images as Jakarta rsquo s development visions that has been existed since post independent era, which came from a certain group of people. Through film rsquo s selective and partial characteristics, added with its physical and non physical elements, the film constructs a utopian city representation in one intact narrative.
