"Kulit manggis (Garcinia Mangostana L.) terbukti kaya akan kandungan xanton yang memiliki potensi aktivitas antioksidan yang sangat tinggi terutama pada hasil fraksinasi diklorometana. Sampo adalah kosmetik yang digunakan untuk mencuci rambut, menghilangkan kotoran dari kulit kepala dan rambut, serta mempertahankan rambut dalam keadaan yang bersih dan mudah diatur. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode peredaman DPPH (2,2-difenil-1-pikril hidrazil) untuk mengetahui nilai IC50 dari hasil fraksinasi diklorometana ekstrak metanol kulit buah manggis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasi hasil fraksi diklorometana ekstrak metanol kulit buah manggis ke dalam 3 formula sampo yang berbeda konsentrasi yaitu 0,010; 0,050 dan 0,252% kemudian dihitung aktivitas antioksidan masing-masing formula dengan metode peredaman DPPH. Uji stabilitas fisik dipercepat dilakukan pada sampo yang disimpan pada suhu yang berbeda (suhu rendah (4±2ºC), suhu kamar dan suhu tinggi (40±2ºC)) dan uji cycling test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sediaan sampo fraksi diklorometana ekstrak metanol kulit buah manggis 0,01; 0,050 dan 0,252% memiliki kestabilan setelah dilakukan pengujian pada suhu rendah (4±2ºC), suhu kamar dan suhu tinggi (40±2ºC) serta uji cycling test. Nilai IC dari ketiga sampo pada konsentrasi 0,010, 0,050; 0,252% dan blangko positif adalah sebesar 98,680; 81,963; 76,172 dan 92,037 ppm. Berdasarkan Nilai IC50, disimpulkan bahwa sampo fraksi diklorometana ekstrak metanol kulit buah manggis 0,252% memiliki aktivitas antioksidan paling tinggi dibandingkan dengan sampo fraksi diklorometana ekstrak metanol kulit buah manggis 0,010; 0.050% dan kontrol positif (vitamin C).

Mangosteen pericarp (Garcinia mangostana L.) has been proved rich in compounds of xanthone that have very high potential of antioxidant activity, especially the fraction of dichlormethane from methanol extract of mangosteen pericarp. Shampoo is a type of cosmetics which has function to wash and removes dirt from hair and scalps. Shampoo also can maintain hair in good condition so it will be easy to manage. The method was used in this study was the reduction of DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl hydrazyl) to determine the IC50 value of the fraction of dichlormethane from methanol extract of mangosteen pericarp. The aim of this study to formulate the fraction of dichlormethane from methanol extract mangosteen pericarp into three different concentration which are 0.010; 0.050 and 0.252% respectively. The antioxidant activity of each concentration of shampoo also calculated by DPPH reduction method. Accelerated physical stability test was done at different temperatures including (low temperature (4±2ºC), room temperature, and high temperature (40±2ºC)) and also cycling test. IC value of shampoo containing dichlormethane fraction from methanol extract of mangosteen pericarp of 0.010; 0.050 0.252% and positive control are 98.680; 81.963; 76.172 and 92.037 ppm respectively. Based on IC50values, it was concluded that shampoo containing dichlormethane fraction from methanol extract of mangosteen pericarp of 0.252% have the highest antioxidant activity compared to shampoo containing dichlormethane fraction from methanol extract of mangosteen pericarp of 0.010; 0.050% and the positive control (vitamin C)."
