"Penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh portofolio investasi industri asuransi Indonesia terhadap perekonomian nasional. Lebih jauh lagi juga untuk mengetahui besaran pengaruhnya kepada perekonomian nasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan regresi berganda dengan metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Data yang digunakan adalah data produk domestik bruto (PDB), portofolio investasi industri asuransi Indonesia yang berupa saham yang tercatat di bursa efek, tanah dan bangunan dengan bak strata dan portofolio investasi penyertaan modal langsung yang tidak tercatat di bursa efek pada tahun 2000 - 2008. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa portofoiio investasi industri asuransi Indonesia berpengaruh positif dan signifikan dengan besaran angka yang cukup baik terhadap perekonomian nasional, dimana portofolio investasi penyertaan langsung yang tidak tercatat di bursa efek memiliki pengaruh yang paling besar.

This study was to investigate the effect of Indonesian insurance industry investment portfolio to the national economy. Furthermore also to measure the amount of influence to the national economy. This study uses multiple regression method called Ordinary least square (OLS). The datas used are gross domestic product (GDP), insurance industry investment portfolio in the form of shares listed on stock exchanges, land and buildings with strata title and direct equity investment portfolio that is not listed on stock exchanges, within the period ofthe year 2000 - 2008. From this study it was found that the investment portfolio of Indonesian insurance industry has a positive and significant, with the magnitude of numbers which is good enough to the national economy. Where direct equity investment portfolio in the fomi of shares that is not listed on stock exchanges have the greatest influence."
