Abstrak :
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh konvergensi International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) terhadap sensitivitas kinerja akuntansi pada kompensasi direksi. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 53 perusahaan terbuka di Indonesia selama enam tahun dengan total observasi 318 firms-years. Pengujian dilakukan dengan data panel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konvergensi IFRS berpengaruh positif terhadap sensitivitas kinerja akuntansi pada kompensasi direksi. Pengaruh positif ini kemungkinan dikarenakan kerangka IFRS yang principle-based sehingga memunculkan peluang direksi untuk meningkatkan kompensasi. ......The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of IFRS convergence on accounting-based performance sensitivity to director compensation. The sample of this study consists of 53 public companies in Indonesia in six years with total observations of 318 firms-years using panel data. The empirical result of this study shows that IFRS convergence has positive effect on accounting-based performance sensitivity to director compensation. This positive effect is maybe due to principle-based framework in IFRS which gives directors oppourtunity to increase their compensation.
