Disabilitas intelektual dikarakteristikkan dengan adanya keterbatasan yang signifikan dalam fungsi intelektual dan perilaku adaptif yang muncul sebelum usia 18 tahun. Dampak disabilitas intelektual yang menonjol pada remaja penyandangnya ialah kegagalan untuk membangun hubungan interpersonal yang diharapkan lingkungan berikut pencapaian prestasi akademis yang rendah. Sementara itu, diketahui bahwa penguasaan keterampilan regulasi emosi dapat menunjang keberfungsian individu, baik dengan mendukung berkembangnya keterampilan sosial yang bersangkutan maupun memfasilitasi kelancaran proses belajar dan adaptasi di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas program pelatihan keterampilan regulasi emosi berdasarkan metode Dialectical Behavior Therapy pada remaja dengan disabilitas intelektual. Kekhususan Dialectical Behavior Therapy dalam mengikutsertakan lingkungan sosial dan memperhitungkan kondisi biologis klien ditengarai menjadi kunci untuk mengembangkan kapasitas regulasi emosi pada subjek dengan disabilitas intelektual. Melalui observasi yang dilakukan terhadap tingkah laku subjek antara sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti program intervensi, ditemukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan dalam hal pengetahuan dan sikap subjek terkait aspek-aspek penguasaan keterampilan regulasi emosi. Lebih lanjut, keterampilan untuk menerapkan teknik regulasi emosi secara konsisten pada subjek dengan disabilitas intelektual sangat terkait dengan dukungan lingkungan sosial yang subjek terima dari sekitarnya. ......Intellectual disability is characterized by significant limitations in intellectual functioning and adaptive behavior that appears before the age of 18 years old. The prominent impacts of intellectual disability in adolescents are failure to establish interpersonal relationships as socially expected and lower academic achievement. Meanwhile, it is known that emotion regulation skills has a role in supporting the functioning of individual, either by nourishing the development of social skills as well as by facilitating the process of learning and adaptation in school. This study aims to look for the effectiveness of Dialectical Behavior Therapy DBT in developing emotion regulation skills for adolescents with intellectual disability. DBT's special consideration toward clients rsquo social environment and their biological condition is foreseen to be the key for developing emotion regulation capacity for subjects with intellectual disability. Through observations on client's behavior, conducted before and after the completion of DBT intervention program, it was found that there is an improvement in client's knowledge and attitudes related to the mastery of emotion regulation skills. In addition, client's consistency to actually practice emotion regulation techniques over time is largely influenced by the support received from the client's social circles.

Di Indonesia, terdapat pasangan yang menikah melalui proses ta’aruf. Ta’aruf adalah proses perkenalan berdasarkan nilai agama Islam berupa adanya batasan durasi perkenalan dan interaksi antara laki-laki dan perempuan dengan tidak diperkenankan adanya kontak fisik. Proses ta’aruf juga mensyaratkan adanya mediator bagi calon pasangan untuk berkenalan. Sementara itu diketahui bahwaand religiusitas individu dan durasi mengenal pasangan sebelum menikah berhubungan dengan kepuasan pernikahan. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kepuasan pernikahan berdasarkan tipe pasangan pada masyarakat Barat. Berdasarkan studi literatur, belum ada penelitian yang melihat perbandingan kepuasan pernikahan berdasarkan tipe pasangan dalam konteks pernikahan melalui ta’aruf.

Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbandingan kepuasan pernikahan berdasarkan tipe pasangan pada 62 individu yang menikah melalui ta’aruf. Hasil menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kepuasan pernikahan yang signifikan antara tipe pasangan tradisional, separated, dan campuran (F = 3,569, p < 0.05, two-tailed.) Analisis data tambahan menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kepuasan pernikahan yang signifikan antara tipe pasangan tradisional, separated, dan independen (F = 3,807, p < 0.05, two-tailed.) pada pria yang ta’aruf, sementara tidak demikian pada subjek penelitian wanita (F = 2,943, p > 0.05, two-tailed.)
In Indonesia, there are couples who got married through the process of ta'aruf. Ta'aruf is acquaintanceship process based on the value of Islam which limit the duration of introductions and interactions between men women with no physical contact allowed. Ta'aruf also requires a mediator for the prospective couples to get acquainted. It is known that individual religiosity and acquaintance duration before marriage are associated with marital satisfaction. Previous research suggests that there are differences in marital satisfaction by couple types in Western society. However, there are no studies that look at the comparison of marital satisfaction by couple types in the context of marriage through ta'aruf.

This study aims to compare the marital satisfaction by couple types in 62 individuals who are married through ta'aruf. The results showed there were significant differences in marital satisfaction between traditional, separated, and mixed couples (F= 3.569, P<0.05, two-tailed.) Additional data analysis showed that there were significant differences in marital satisfaction between traditional, separated , and independent (F = 3.807, p <0.05, two-tailed.) among men who did ta'aruf. In contrast, there were no significant differences in marital satisfaction between traditional, separated , and independent among women ( F = 2.943, p> 0.05, two-tailed.)
